Joedy's Cafe - New Farm
We queued for roughly 20 minutes on the weekend around 11am. Food was good.. we got the wagyu burger, egg’s benedict and poke bowl.. it was relatively good experience, price: $90 for 3 people.Perfect for a nice hang around place if you want to chill.

Joedy's Cafe - New Farm
This is a super cool and friendly café, a short, easy walk of about 15 mins, from the New Farm Ferry terminal. It’s an ideal place for breakfast, lunch or brunch or whatever takes your fancy, if you tie it in with a ferry ride. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but being a warm and balmy autumn morning, we decided to sit outdoors at a comfy little table. The whole place, inside and out, is decorated in a light, bright and breezy style, with white and wooden Ikea style furniture, strong lighting and overhead fans. Ideal for a warm day.The ambience was laid back, chilled and relaxed and even though it was a weekday afternoon, there were still a few people around, to give it a nice, fun vibe. There was only one waitress on duty and her name was Sarah, according to my docket. It took awhile to attract her attention to come and take our order, but once that was achieved, everything ran smoothly and the drinks and food came out quickly. I think there’s also an option for app ordering, but for such a small place it seemed unnecessary. The menu is fairly limited and especially if you’re allergic to eggs, there isn’t much of a choice of non-egg meals, so the three of us all chose the same: the avocado on toast. But we were happy with our choice: the avo was tasty and smooth, topped with fresh, creamy ricotta, sliced cherry tomatoes and sprigs of greenery. To accompany that, a few coffees and an iced matcha latte. The only thing that I didn’t like about Joedy’s were the prices. Now I fully understand that we’re currently experiencing a Weimar Republic-like hyperinflationary crisis, and that’s no fault of business. If we want to apportion blame for this disaster, look no further than our own govt and the Reserve Bank, so of course, I appreciate that restaurants and cafes are all under cost pressure, but still, I think it’s a bit over the top to charge 20 for a simple avocado on toast and 5 for a coffee, which means that three avocado toasts and three coffees will set you back 75 pesos. Welcome to Australia 2023. And delicious as they were, these were modest serving sizes. Luckily for us, we had the Entertainment discount, which lopped a few pesetas off our bill and brought it back to a more reasonable 57.Joedys is located in a little restaurant precinct just behind the N.F. park. It’s a top spot for a relaxing brunch on a Fri afternoon, so full marks to Joedy and his team for creating such a pleasant ambience, serving decent food and drink and being so polite, friendly and efficient. I’d like to see some movement on prices though, preferably in a downwards direction, before I make a ret trip.To access the toilets, you need a code, go through a door into a narrow corridor where you’ll find a single unisex toilet. It had soap but no hand towel or dryer.

Great food at reasonable prices.Highly recommended!Edit: I was a bit disappointed after my last visit. I ordered the exact same dish than the last time, but never got the bacon crunchy as seen in the picture. They bacon was undercooked (for my personal taste) and after the third time I just gave up and didn't eat it.

My friend and I had brunch here today and we both really enjoyed our food. It was reasonably priced, staff were great, food didn't take long to arrive after ordering, coffee was really good and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely go back again.

It's not often that super busy cafe's nail all the Saturday breakfast elements successfully, with something normally falling flat whether it's the service, or coffee, or the food... not at Joedy's though. From the moment we we're seated, the experience was swift and flawless.Perfectly cooked eggs with generous lashings of bacon, delicious coffee and refreshing cold pressed juices.Make sure you book though, as there is a reason they were almost full at 830am.
