Great spot to see ships and tugs. Nice, green, shady area for picnics or relaxing

Koombana Lookout
This is a stunning lookout, and we went here every morning so we could go down the stairs and do the lovely coastal walks. It is really cool to walk around on low tide also so you can see the lovely sea critters and coral. Good place to have lunch. Sad story about the ship Koombana, lost in a cyclone with all on board many years ago. info is shown on a plaque with photos.

Koombana Lookout
The landscape in and around Port Hedland is uniformly flat. The Koombana Lookout is possibly the highest elevation in the town.Nice views out over the ocean (to the north) where the Iron Ore ships await loading at the port. Views over the racecourse to the South.Some covered seating but no other facilities at this location.
