Please do not waste your time with these people especially if you're a male. Their approach from the word go is how to deny you service and just provide an email with a list of practitioners, that's it!Also every time I've called it's answered by a woman which also clearly shows a huge disparity between male and female employees at this organisation. Maybe this is why there's a sense of gender bias against men here!

Horrible, horrendous & hand balled responsibility on my previous unfair dismissal claim/form against my former workplace Yooralla. The female receptionist was clueless & continually asked for more information as to why I was trying to file a unfair dismissal claim form. It got me no where & typically low IQ the receptionist was which aggravated & infuriated me.

Absolutely useless. Jane sighed whenever I asked a question and had difficulty answering. She said she was confused even when I quoted directly what my court order said.I speak to a lot of people in my daily life and I can tell you Jane is very unintelligent.The only thing she was comfortable with was slowly reading back basic information about what certain things are, all information already available on they internet. She spoke extremely slowly like I didn't know English even though I said I'm Australian born and speak English very well (I don't have an accent or anything). After trying to answer some of my questions she said you're asking a lot of hypothetical questions so I'm going to terminate the call" it was very unprofessional and in my opinion uncalled for.Really not worth waiting on hold to speak to these clowns.Edit: I want to say I find it amusing other people have written similar feedback. Seriously "incompetent" is the most fitting word.If you've even went to Mcdonalds and the attendant struggles to process your order on the Point Of Sales machine and they don't apologise and have to get assistance because they can't figure it out then you might have an idea of how hopeless these people are. This service is a sham. I waited on hold for over 1.5 hours and when I finally got through the incompetent advisor terminated the call as I was explaining the situation. Obviously this organisation employs the low scoring drop kicks who can’t get a proper law job and the appalling culture is systemically filtrated to the core by bad management.

Thanks for the legal advice and not cost me anything it's really means alot for someone who not afford to pay for the lawyer for my right. Even I am paying guilty ^

If there was a half star I would add that. 2.5.Whilst I definitely appreciate the fact there is a free legal service that anyone can access and be given information on how to best proceed down the judicial rabbit warren. I unfortunately found the representative on the phone to be rather unsure of the information she was giving g me and when I asked any questions on things that I was not clear, she did appear to become mildy annoyed each time. Whilst it is also no reflection of her as a professional, she was quite difficult to understand die to a very thick accent and Whilst it was frustrating for me having to continually ask her to repeat herself in our short phone call, im sure she has to deal with it all day. A suggestion, maybe the phone lines could be more suitably staffed as I started to not ask her to repeat things even though I had not heard them and felt that they could have been Important.In saying all this she did try very hard to help, it just appeared that she did not have the actual knowledge for what I was enquiring about, I am sure it would be a regular occurrence for someone to be ringing with a similar situation to mine, it is by no means extraordinary.I unfortunately ended the call not to muxh clearer at all on how I should proceed from here.So thankyou for the service you provide and I hope I dont sound ungrateful or that I'm whingeing, I just am expressing some constructive criticism so that you can do an even better job.I do not believe all interactions are like mine and I've no doubt you help many people along the way.Thanks.

If you're a male, just accept you're not worth it and your better of finding a dark place. These people are the worst.

Their work exceeded my expectations. I was very well treated all the times I called, all attendants always gave me a solution on every call, everyone I spoke to had a sincere willingness to help. Even the phone wait, I never waited more than 20 minutes, while I was expecting at least 1h wait because of their high demand. I'm very grateful for all the help I received from VLA.

I wish there was a negative mark here to give victoria legal aid as their services are rubbish. Many of their lawyers are like a tape and they only repeat the words that they have memorized before. If your question would be a bit challenging, they do not say that they do not know, instead, they try to show that the client does not understand. They are just wasting tax payers' money.
