A friend purchased a vanilla slice from here today along with some pies. Pies were lovely & reasonable value, vanilla slice for the price tag of $8.50 each was a bit over the top for the product. If I had been there there was no way I would’ve paid that. The vanilla slice pastry was soft, not crunchy nor did it taste fresh, very disappointing for the price.

Excellent pies in an unassuming place. Definitely in my top 3 pie shops. I wish I lived closer.The pies are an interesting oval shape and packed full. The pastry was full of flavour and the filling was meaty. 10 out of 10!

This place was way off the main drag. We were in need of coffee and didn’t have high expectations as it was a very quiet out of the way tiny town. We were totally blown away when we walked inside. Fantastic hot pies, lots of varieties and all with delicious puff pastry. And absolutely beautiful cakes and pastries. And did I mention the coffee, it too tasted great and served at the right temperature. This place is a National treasure!!! You must call in if you’re in the area !!

Pies are a little small but worth it as they taste great. Good clean shop coffee also drinkable. A bit off the A1 but you can sit by the Richmond River and enjoy a cool breeze with your pie.

Tasty Pies that were not hot enough(lukewarm at best). Called in bout 11.30am.Lunch time, you would expect them to be hotter.

Probably the best pie i have eaten. I ordered the steak and kidney, love it. Pastry was thin and filling was a lot. The size of the pie looks smaller than most on the market but the taste really make up for it. Price was reasonable at $6.60 each. My wife had the spinach and feta, she loves it. We are going back for more in a couple of days. Can’t wait. The pie shop itself is closed but the pies are selling next door at the cafe. Don’t be disappointed if you see the shop closed, go next door.
