Very poor communication and always need to be chased to get a job done with these guys.Further to your reply, We ordered 8 padlocks and 2 keys in February 2020 we received the call to pick them up 18/9/2020. I had sent numerous emails which I have on file that were never replied to. This is only one of many recent problems with the service received from you.

I don't usually write reviews but if you value professional service and communication avoid this mob at all costs! Not sure how they are still in business.

I have used Brisbane Locksmiths for years and they have always gone above and beyond in every measure. I can not recommend a locksmith company higher than them. They’ve always set clear expectations, provided excellent service and their prices are extremely reasonable. No other locksmith business compares.

I made a few mistakes here, please learn from them: I didn't read the reviews for this company and I didn't shop around for quotes because I was so busy at the time.Summary:Locksmith's work in the end and lock quality : 5/5Communication: 1/5Timeliness: 1/5Price: 1/5If you want to pay a premium with little accountability and poor communication but with a fully satisfactory product, use this company.I obtained price estimates over the phone about a week beforehand which I wrote down. In my notes: I do not have a call-out fee listed (could be my mistake), but there is a large hourly rate for the locksmith while onsite, and the maximum worst case scenario amount was $650 with 7 locks rekeyed (all double sided).I had booked for the locksmith to be at my place between 8am-8:30am, for the intent of looking around and giving some recommendations of rekey/replace, and updated quote. Undertaking the works was to be 12-1pm that day so they could grab what they needed, and so I could get a quote beforehand. I had verbal confirmation only that this was organised.8:30 am on the day and nobody has arrived. Since I had no formal text or email I opted for courtesy call to the company. They responded promptly and informed me the locksmith was held up on a job and would be at most an hour late, and he would call me directly.10:20am rolls around: nobody has arrived, I have had no calls. I call the company again. I needed that time gap to be able to move loads as I was moving house at the time. Instead I'm sitting waiting. I'm informed the locksmith is on his way to my place and should have called me. I'm on the phone for less than a minute; he arrives while on the phone. It's about two hours after he was due to arrive.Talking to the locksmith, Malcolm: he is friendly, professional, and proceeds with the job promptly. I need three of replacement locks (two T bar and a simple 1 sided knob), 2 rekeys (double sided) and a single sided rekey + barrel. He informs me he is not 100% certain of cost but the price range for what I am asking should be between $200 and $600, and whether I'm okay to proceed. I say yes - and expect around the $600-$700 mark for end cost given the information I've received to date. No mention of lack of communication yet.He leaves to grab the products he needs to work with. I have about an hour so I run to grab lunch. He says he will call me when he is on his way back. He does!He returns and immediately apologises for the lack of communication that morning. Turns out he was calling and messaging me all morning. He was given the wrong number from management, and rectified it the moment he'd be back in the office. Management didn't pass on the number correctly to the locksmith. And despite my chasing up, never identified/tried to fix the problem.Locksmith is done in 1.5 hours. Goes over the products and gets me to test to ensure keys work. They do, am very pleased.Locksmith writes an invoice for me while on the phone to his office. The office gives him a final price of $830, but refuses to itemise anything for him (apparently they are not allowed to know). He notes on the invoice he quoted me lower.I call the office up the following Monday and explain the full situation. They say they are sorry for the customer support on the day but the work was performed and I am happy with the lock quality etc so I have to pay that price. I fight back and they lower it by $30 while telling me they should be charging more because the locksmith did some work offsite (even though I was told only onsite work counts). They itemise over the phone for me and it also includes a call-out fee which wasn't in my notes.End result: I've just paid $800 for something other companies charge almost $200 less for (I got quotes after the fact), they argued that customer service is not part of what I pay for and only begrudgingly offered a small discount after fighting it. Lesson learnt. I'm sorry but I will not be recommending nor going with this company again. I'd work with Malcolm in a heartbeat though!

I am so disappointed in the service provided here. I would not recommend at all. I was needing a key cut and got home to use it to find it did not fit/work. I rang the store to tell them and they said I could call them out and spend more money. It does not look like I am going to see my money again, as when I explained that she said she could cut the key she said I did cut it

Had numerous amazing experiences with Brisbane Locksmiths. They are quick to come to the house, the quality of work is flawless - I have never had any concerns or issues - and love the security review each time I move home so I feel secure as a single mother. I 100% recommend this company for all security needs. I will be buying a safe next!
