Spalding General Store

We were there on a Monday night and thought we couldn’t get anywhere to eat as the restaurant at the pub only opens Wednesday to Sunday included. However, the general store adjacent to the pub is now opening Monday and Tuesday nights for dinner and serves one of the best hamburgers we’ve had in a long time. They also have yummy baked potatoes from 5:30 pm and pies and pasties from a nearby bakery. Oh and the chips were delicious too. Some nights they cook special dinners like roast and veggies. It has plenty of tables to sit and a very friendly staff if you feel like a chat. We had a great night. Thank you Spalding for such a great little stop on the road. You totally deserve our business.

A great store with just the right amount of choices and super friendly service. Big stores could learn something here, less choice and all quality = a delightful stress free visit.

Nice country town general store. The store has fuel. Breakfast and more. The owner operator was friendly. They also have seats outside for you to enjoy your coffee. Take your time to relax in your travels.
