Chippy's Fish Cafe BUTLER
The first time I went I ordered the black pudding, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. It was fantastic -- very generous serving and an okay price. I have eaten here quite a few times over the years (had white pudding, haggis, battered sausages, snapper, English cod etc). I'll always be back for more as they are open during the day too!

King snapper & chips $18 not good raw and had a funny taste to the fish, told to worker on shift because I ate in for lunch was asked if I want another one I didn’t want replacement didn’t taste good & 4 hours later still feel unsettle in the stomach, probably would have commented on this if I was given the option to get money refund but no such thing offered.

Just ordered $60 worth of food, haven’t ordered in months and it was awful, not to mention missing the main reason I ordered, mushy peas with my chips, which were missing (not the 1st time either) I called and was told not their fault but to call Menulog as theirs!!!!! Didn’t fancy my food being freezing while waiting on line to speak to Menulog for hours! They didn’t even offer for us to go pick up one from the store. Great customer service, NOT!!!!!!Not happy at all as it was their fault for not putting it in the bag that had the receipt attached mentioning mushy peas and charged for them! Also chips were awful, dry and burnt and chiko roll was greasy inside. Couldn’t eat our food, but obviously “not their fault!!!!” Call Menulog because it’s their fault.What a waste of our hard earned $60, will NOT be ordering from Chippies ever again, mainly due to the non existent service, I could hear the manager say it wasn’t their fault and to call Menulog in the background, manager of the year he was!!!!

First time customer but won’t be returning. We simply ordered fish and chips and some squid rings but was very disappointed. First we got home, chips and squid rings are there, no fish. Had to drive back and ask for the fish which they acknowledged they missed but no apology. Got back and could finally start eating, fish was good, chips were dry, under seasoned and now cold which was really disappointing as we were looking forward to some good chips. The squid rings…. far out, there was SO MUCH batter on the measly bits of squid, I had a bite and felt sick. We ended up peeling off all the batter just so we didn’t waste the food. Thank goodness there was ONE good part; the fish, but that doesn’t make up for a very average and disappointing dinner. I’ll happily drive down Marmion a bit further to a fish and chips shop I know pride themselves on customer service and good food.

Ordered 2 x Gummy, a Chicken Burger and medium chips.The Batter around the Fish was a inch thick and oily. The Gummy was but a mere slither of fish. The chicken burger was also oily.Asked for extra crispy chips which weren't extra crispy.Also they had a weird yellow colour probably added yellow colouring which didn't make them look any better.Would i rush to give them a set chance? probably not.

Go to Chippy's quite often, their portions can be a little inconsistent but the food is always cooked well. Their fast and efficient, have never had to wait to long (even when their busy)

Chips were yellow, over cooked and dry... They were not fluffy inside at all... The best thing was the gravy that we ordered, pity I didn't want to dip the chips in it... Used fresh bread instead... Definitely will not be going back there again.

Worst fish and chips ever. Looks like they had left overs from the previous day and decided to recook them. Some food was actually burnt. Will never order again. Disgusting.
