FISH PIER

Love their oysters and sashimi salmon, always makes a wonderful dinner for the family.

Brought some seemingly nice looking prawns from here. When to cook them only to be shocked by the smell of ammonia, meaning off and potentially seriously harmfull to peoples health. I have brought fish from there before and never had a problem. Wont be going back or letting anyone i know buy from there. Also i brought the prawns in the morning first thing.

Went here after many years and purchased Oysters. I went to eat them as soon as I got home with them. In the past the seafood has been pretty good. What I got were terrible. They were NOT fresh oysters as the sign said and I had to throw them out. Disgusting and dangerous. Disappointing as it is the only fish mongers in Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre.

Brought fish from this place since they opened and it has been amazing! Brought fish every week since they opened and not a single flaw! They even remember me and they even know me and I even consider them as my friends! Their fish is actually the best in the business and it's actually bang for the buck. Their fish is the best quality with the best prices. Even their service is the best! Would never stop buying their fish and I advise people to buy fish from this place. You would never regret it!

Oysters are always massive, love the Japanese scallops. Prawns, cooked or uncooked are amazing and the salmon patties are very good value.

Purchased 2 blue swimmer crabs yesterday, one was an empty shell the other tasted awful and mushy, not fresh at all. First time buying from there, will not be a repeat customer.

Overpriced and overcharged for frozen and huge bone ridden fish. Have bought fish from here twice now, and both times have been disappointed by the terrible quality of the fish. The male staff member there tells us he has to charge for the full kilo of fish when it weighed in at 400g, but did not offer to give us the rest of the kilo. We even asked if the fish had been deboned, to which he answered yes, only to find huge bones in it when we had a look at home. When cooking the fish, we noticed it was releasing a lot of water, was chewy and had 0 flavour indicating that it had been frozen prior to our purchase. Will not be purchasing from this dishonest and disgusting shop again.

We shop regularly at forest hill and haven’t ever purchased from fish pier before. Decided to buy some delicious looking salmon fillets. All their seafood looks great. We chose two fillets and were surprised that they weighed in higher than we had thought they would. The scales at the store are hidden from customers sight but I noticed the weight on the computer screen. Paid without hassle. Got home to find that on our home scales with the wrapping on they weighed in almost 200 grams less than we were charged. For the price we paid that is almost $10 overcharge. Not happy about that and won’t be back.
