Massively overpriced!!! Always keen to support our local shops and community as the first stop. I’ve given the new owners the benefit of the doubt and used to be a weekly shopper at this butcher for a large family but after todays experience it’s time to find a new local. As if the meat wasn’t expensive enough I was asked to pay $40 for a dog marrow bone!!!

One of the best butchers in Melbourne, and amazing quality meat. If you care about where your meat comes from you have to shop at Hagen’s.Also the staff are so friendly and willing to help!

Everything I’ve bought from here has been delicious. Just tried their Greek butterflied chicken and it was so easy to cook and so tasty! Love that they’re family owned and that they care about ethics and sustainability.

Over priced, poor quality and the shop has lost its feel.Apart from the produce being expensive, it’s horrible meat!!!The only time I’ve ever bought satay’s and all 3 people at my table spat it out.Probably time the new owner starts to listen to his staff and the local community.Bring back the old fashioned butcher that actually cares, it might be time to sell up.It’s not worth the ⭐️ I had to give to post this.Gross!!!

Purchased the peri peri chicken $45 they must have seen me coming. It was tastless awful chicken . I wont ever set foot in this establishment. High price for low quality.

Extremely overpriced and very poor quality. $102kg for eye fillet which was tasteless and chewy cooked medium rare. Their ‘plain’ beef sausages were hot and spicy and plain disgusting! We will never go back. Will stay with Coles & Woolies premium steaks which are always delicious and half the price!

Best meat in Melbourne. Hands down. Used to shop at Meatsmith / Victor Churchill but Hagen's has won be over.
