This is directed at Kubarz Sydney. My fiancé hired kubarz Sydney for our engagement party, which overall was a wonderful day, however one of the let downs for the day was the experience with the bar. First of all, delivery prior to the event - a bar weighing about 60kg (by my best estimate) that is also extremely awkward to carry was sent to be setup by one staff member who couldn't quiet get it up the small steps around the place on his own, so I have him a hand, no drama.One of the cocktails the guys were serving up were lychee martinis. Through the course of the evening, the staff ran out of lychee juice so they took it upon themselves, without notifying anyone, to substitute lychee juice with champagne. Now, I don't know how this works with the RSA, but adding more alcohol to unsuspecting guests drinks doesn't seem right, it sure as hell wouldn't taste right either. So our guests clearly were not impressed and neither were we as the hosts. Bloody embarrassing.We purchased all the correct glassware for the event, martini glasses, tumblers and wine glasses, but after the first 30min, martinis were being served in wine glasses, tumblers or basically anything that was available...why? Well no one was collecting and washing glasses. 3 staff and not one could make sure that these details were sorted. As you are well aware, presentation matters.I asked for the bar to be illuminated as it got darker (which we happily paid for) and the response I got was that the bar we hired doesn't light up, 30min later after convincing the staff member to contact the supervisor, the bar was lit.I don't know how you train your guys, or if they simply aren't interested because they don't plan on making a career out of the job.When my fiancé complained the next morning, it was out of the frustration from the points I stated above, and the manager happily obliged and offered to refund the cost of the labour....well done kbarz, the performance on our special day wasn't great, but hey, a refund makes things a little better, at least your customer service is good....So to this day, we still haven't received a refund, and believe me, this is not about the money, but about a business making promises it doesn't intend to keep. We keep giving you guys the benefit of the doubt...we've been trying to reach you for the last two weeks, and finally today my fiancé gets through only to be called a liar and be accused of making all of this up in order to get a refund....so disappointing, that instead of dealing with the staffing issues you have and repairing your reputation in order to potentially secure repeat business, you chose to attack and insult your customer...poor business values to say the least.
