Fairy Pools
Best post we saw on the Gold Coast yet, it’s really amazing. The water is warm and very clear and you can lay out on the rocks. We saw a lot of fishes, but also dolphins and big turtles. You can jump from the rocks when the water is high but be very careful. And some fishes can bite you when you don’t move for a long time :)A very good place to preserve

Easy walk. Nice little pool to sit in at low tide and watch the world go by.Need a torch for the walk back if going for sunset.

Fairy Pools
Small pools, cool natural creation and a good vibe in sunny weather. Water is extra blue and quite warm. Located along a nice hike, You’ll have to climb some rocks to get down to the pool. Don’t expect to have it by yourself, but it’s not very crowded.

Easy and beautiful walk, 30-45 minutes. Great for watching animals and surfers. The fairy pools were so beautiful but a bit crowded and only 2 small pools. Really fantastic experience

Ok...so, when the national parks won't mark a location on their maps, you know there are some issues with the spot. The Fairy Pools: They do NOT appear on too many maps. And there is a reason for that.First, there are a few different pools. The lower ones: yeah...they are definitely only be good for swimming on ultra-calm days and at low, low tide. When I was there, they were a definite no-go! Too much swell and even 2 hours after high tide, too much water moving around. Best to avoid. (Honestly, I don't even know If they count as Fairy Pools")Second: even the higher pool

The fairy pools are around 45 minutes walking distance from the car park.We arrived at 12:30pm and it was busy but not overly crowded.Check the tide times as you'll want to visit during low tide, it can definitely get rough in there when it's becoming high tide.A beautiful spot for a place to swim and a perfect spot to see the dolphins!Head up to hell's gate view point to spot the turtles. We saw 2 today! The footpath is a mixture of stone and sand, getting to the fairy pools is a scramble down the rocks. We wore water shoes but most people didnt. Also be careful of the coral in there, we need to keep the coral healthy!Follow us on socials: @_whichwaynext

Visited January 2023, first thing parking at the little cover was a challenge, this place gets very busy, so did about 30 laps of the parking lot till we got a spot.I would recommend closed walking shoes the trip from carpark to the cliff where the pools are is about 35-45mins at a decent pace, the path for about 30mins is sealed, however after the second major lookout over cotton tree Beach the path is dirt with protruding rocks.Along the way you pass a few beaches, by fr the best one was Tea tree, would recommend stopping for a swim.Once arrived at the fairy pools lookout, there is no actual pathway, just crowd made paths entwine their way down to the pools themselves. There is a bit of a climb down the different levels of rocks to reach different pools.Back on the top of pools the pathway does continue, so if your looking for abit more of a fitness test or enjoy a long walk with some challenges then continue on the path. From carpark to pools then back is a 3-4klm round trip.

Incredible place, magnificent view, it is probably advisable to go in the morning where the water is lower. These natural pools are a long distance away and for that it will be necessary to need to be in good physical condition, because it will be a long walk and to get close to the pool you will have to go through some rocks where you cannot be afraid of heights.
