Saw this place on instagram and thought I should go and try it.When I first walked in the atmosphere was great the man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in helping us what to order.My friend and I ordered the bucket that came with 9 pieces of chicken a side of chips and coleslaw..Chicken pieces were on the small side and not crispy, the chicken was juicy but...The chips were very nice we enjoyed them and they were a good size.Coleslaw was good just needed some seasoning.

Ordered the F.A.T pack, and chose the original chicken with a side chips. Food arrived quickly, and chicken was juicy, however for the bigger piece of chicken breast, there was not much taste. Seems that only the coating had the seasoning.I would recommend sharing the F.A.T pack as the portion was too much for one person.

A very cool hip-hop institution located fittingly in Brunswick East. The space is dominated by concrete and funny quotes. The food tastes like it’s made with love. There’s nothing to really critique here, if you’re craving that big FAT feed and burgers with beer then don’t hesitate to come here!

Chicken is fried to perfection, decent crunch and still juicy inside. The hot was more of a mild, which is good for me, but for those looking for a hot kick, the hot here just won’t cut it. The corn and poutine chips had a bit too much cheese in it for my likings. Overall a satisfying experience.

My sister and her friends recommended Fried and Tasty for their chicken burgers and fries. The chicken burger was juicy, delicious and cooked perfectly, I took my time finishing the burger because I didn't want the experience to end. The seasoning on the chips was like light and tangy chips, I absolutely loved the seasoning. (NOTE: Based on the reply from F.A.T. the issue with the chips was due to the shortage. I have updated my review)

This place has amazing service, everyone is so attentive and kind, absolutely going above and beyond. The poutine was super yum, hit all the cravings just right. And the chicken was a little bit dry as breast meat usually is but got good amount of flavouring on it. The mac and cheese needed a bit more salt but other than that was creamy and yum. Milk shake was delish.

A casual and spacious dining space offering Southern Fried Chicken and other American favourites.Deep Fried Chicken is one of my favourite food group. Growing up in Asia,I thought crunchy, battered fried chicken was invented by the standard bearer Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is only recently that I discovered American Southern Fried chicken may have been influenced by Scottish immigrants. Although I lean more towards Korean Fried Chicken and Taiwanese Fried chicken nowadays, I still have a soft spot for Southern Fried Chicken.That's why, I recently took a tram (1 & 6) to the aptly named F.A.T in Brunswick East.For me, there's is something magically addictive in the combination of waffle, maple syrup and fried chicken - the one at FAT is good - crunchy, crispy, aromatic, sweet. The peach and Cayenne chicken is a clever combination (sweet, chilli), although the pour on sauce does take away the crispiness of the fried chicken. The medium sized cut chips is good - crispy with creamy flesh.

Fried and Tasty reminds me of a KFC wannabe. I prefer the Colonel’s recipe to be honest. Verdict - would not be back for more..I got a 3 piece original fried chicken that comes with a side of fries while my hubby got the 3 piece hot fried chicken with coleslaw. Surprisingly my fave was the coleslaw, slabbed with a lot of salad sauce. The batter was nicely fried but unfortunately too salty.. my husband enjoyed the hot chicken, so perhaps that might be better if you enjoy spicy dishes. I also did not appreciate that the drumstick was relatively small (compared to Belle’s drumsticks) and the other two pieces were chicken breast and chicken thigh which were hard to eat. The chicken breast was quite dry. The fries were also salty.The ginger beer was a good call, so we had something to help with the saltiness and fried taste.Service was friendly. I was surprised that the place wasn’t set up even though we arrived past 11:30am and they opened at 11am on Saturday..

The burger was okay but save yourself the money on Uber eats and don’t get the ranch salad because $8.50 for such a small portion of literally just lettuce, corn, and dressing is crazyyyyy (only two beans could be located)
