It's such a pleasure visiting this store and hearing the owner talk to his customers. He has a depth of knowledge about fish, aquariums and related subjects that is unsurpassed and he communicates in a direct yet endearing style. His shop is packed with creative setups containing beautiful fish and marine life which provide inspiration on what is possible when you have imagination, creativity, ingenuity and know-how. This is no ordinary aquarium shop!

Quite a good aquarium. Huge tanks with viewing on both ground and first floors. Worth the trip.

Never shop here. This guy is an absolute rogue!!!I went to the store to buy a filter for my Tank. As i am new to aquariums i thought i would go and see a local and also get some advice from an expert.I purchased the filter recommended by the owner. He rang up the purchase and then added 3% on top as i was paying with credit card without saying anything about it. I didnt comment as i thought its only $6 extra. I later found out that the $145 filter can be purchased for $45 elsewhere. I rang him back just to check that he charged me correctly. Upon questioning him he proceeded to become incredibly aggressive on the phone and ended up telling me that i could buy elsewhere but i was never welcome back in his shop. Customer service at its best

Much better than i expected! Air con throughout, well set out and a restaurant and coffee shop onsiteVery informative amd beautiful displays. Although it is expensive i think it was worth it with young kids. We spent over 2 hours no worries

Check Prices!! And re check again before paying.This Guy is rogue and just adds up whatever.Sold me a snail with a cracked shell, when I took it back he went off and yelled at me to get out of his shop.Thoroughly disappointed! Not they way to start an aquarium journey for my 6 year old!

Incredible range of aquarium plants, a variety of fish. The owner is extremely helpful, lovely and enjoys discussing the best options for your tank. As well as care needed for your plants!Unlike many other pet shops, he knows how to care for aquariums and all flora and fauna within your tank. Just be prepared to spend some time having a long nice chat :D

Rip off merchant, I used zip pay and didn't realise he charged me $170 for two african peacocks and one bristlenose, all small in size, never going there again.

As a long time customer of Paul's shop I can only disagree with Olivia Abood's comments. Not only is Paul one of the most knowledgeable people I know in this hobby, but also a true blue aquarist. Every fish or plant he sells in his shop if of the highest quality, well acclimated and healthy.Are his prices sometimes a bit higher then in other places? Yes, but you get what you pay for. I rather pay a bit more for a fish knowing that it won't cause me any problems and will life in my aquarium for a long time then get a cheap one that dies on me within a couple of days. Unfortunately, it seems that many people don't appreciate value anymore these days and only go by price. After almost 40 years in the hobby I can tell everyone that this is the wrong approach if you want to have a good looking tank at home.If one wants to know the price for a certain fish or piece of equipment in a shop one can always ask. What Olivia is experiencing is called buyers remorse" and has nothing to do with a particular shop she just tries to pin it in this case on Paul. We're all grown-ups and should act as such. Doing research on a specific item is nowadays easier then ever and should make it very easy to make an informed decision if to buy or not to buy something.I can just say that if you go to Aquarium World Cairns you'll be treated right and you'll always get top quality and advise."

Paul’s knowledge of fish and aquarium habits is just incredible. His aquarium is an Aladdin’s cave of aquarium treasure!
