Awesome Asian food... The Garlic prawns were succulent and juicy, the Satay chicken was flavoursome with just enough heat, the Lamb with Special sauce was a delicious surprise, and my Szechuan fillet steak was cooked perfectly. All the meals were served with a smile by friendly staff too. Can't recommend highly enough.

I find it difficult to give a bad review but the reputation of Paul's Asian Affair has proved to be so far from reality I have to. We ordered special fried rice and two classic dishes, bbq pork and honey chicken. What we got was something I would expect a school student learning to cook to bring home. The rice had no flavour that resembled fried and there certainly wasn't anything special about it. The chicken was dry and unseasoned, the honey sauce was bland and gluggy. The BBQ pork was quite sweet and watery while also managing to be bland and tasteless. The one star rating is for the lovely friendliness of the staff, perhaps they are the only reason this restaurant has customers, they feel sorry for them. Although we didn't eat in, I noticed a large selection of alcohol, perhaps this also would have improved the flavour of the food, alas we did not partake.100% would not recommend. Go around the corner to the little take away shop, cheaper and better flavour!!

I'm the first to admit I am fussy with Chinese but this was the best Chinese I have ever had. Sure it was more expensive than other places, but the quality was so much better - you pay for what you get right?. I tried 4 dishes as well as the boiled and fried rices and I cannot fault any of them. Shame I'm not local as I would definitely make this my local if I was.

We sat for two hours waiting for our meals all the while watching bag after bag of take away coming out of the kitchen. The last straw was when a table that came in after us was served their food before us. Clearly something going very wrong in the kitchen. You don’t put restaurant customers last, especially when they have made the effort to prebook and are buying drinks/alcohol. We weren’t the only table complaining about the wait. We won’t be back and absolutely do not recommend.

Tonight I ordered the Braised Chicken Chow Mein for $22, takeaway. The order was freshly prepared and hot at the time arranged. This dish seemed to contain soft noodles reminiscent of the Maggi variety. Salty and horrible. The meal had strong bursts of ginger and lacked vegetables. Maybe half of a quarter of a single bok choy shoot and a mushroom. The chicken was braised well but on the whole, this was the worst Asian meal I have had in a few years and I eat Asian food a couple of times a week.

Paul’s is our family go to for birthday dinners. Highly recommend the lunch specials and the satay beef. Prices are a little higher than other places, but the quality is also higher.

Food was delicious good selection of bevvies, but ordeing dumplings as a quick starter for my son was abit of an issue. Considering there were only 2 other people in the restuaurant at the time & asking where they were several times it still took over 20 minutes to deliver to table. I then had the same problem with my 6 scollops on the shell reaching me before the mains, i again had to ask where they were and end up getting to the table 5 minutes later.Overall the food was great and up to par with what i had heard but the wait staff need to be more on the ball if you are charging big money for the whole experience.

This is a nice restaurant with large wine selection. The staff were quite friendly and service was fast. However there was no flavour in the chow mein, and it was terribly overpriced along with the rice. The dumplings weren't anything special, and again, ridiculously expensive. I feel this would be a great restaurant if the prices simply matched the quality of the food.
