Charleville Cosmos Centre

Saw the sun experience. Fascinating. Jack was very informative and helpful. Was really cool to see the sun and jack even took pics through the telescope with our phones. Highly recommend.

We did both the night sky viewing experience as well as the daytime sun viewing. Mark and the team at the night sky viewing were very knowledgeable and helpful. Jack at the smaller sun viewing experience amazed us with his presentation. His explanation was pitched at a level that his audience could understand and his enthusiasm was infectious. Even his meteorite talk was entertaining and informative. Thank you to Jack, Mark and all the team for making our experiences something to remember and to want to promote to others. We were absolutely astounded by the sun observation and talk. Seeing the sun though this telescope was a great experience and the information and explaination of what we were seeing made this a 5 star moment. The staff at the centre are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee and cheese scones fresh from the oven were top notch! Thanks Cosmos Centre.

It was an enjoyable evening, but I wish we had done the 30-inch telescope session instead of the 14-inch telescope. Don't know why, but I imagined that I could see a whole lot more than we got to see. The staff were friendly and quite knowledgeable. Obviously you couldn't take any photos.

Tonight's tour was the plan B planetarium, due to it being overcast. The person giving the talk was in such a hurry you couldn't understand him. A request was made by another audience member for him to speak more slowly, it didn't happen. Saw some pretty pictures, really wouldn't recommend it. A poor quality lecture, not what we expected.

Great experience, worth going. We were especially lucky. We arrived in Charleville the day before the partial eclipse. $5 entry fee at COSMOS. Great food in the cafe. Chrissy at reception is lovely. I met her earlier in the day. It was lovely to see her there. The tour guides are full of knowledge. You won't be disappointed.

A visit here on a clear night to see the stars of the milky way. Very informative and would be great for family during the day tour.

Very friendly staff and a great centre. We could do our original tour that we have booked due to clouds but the plan B tour in the planetarium was just as good. We got to see things in colour and it was very informative. We will be back to do the tour again hopefully not on a cloudy day

We had an amazing time at a night and day viewing with Wade. He was very knowledgeable, and easily fielded all our questions - especially the random ones! He managed to squeeze us in for a day viewing and we’re very grateful. If space, the sun and the moon is your thing you absolutely have to go. Even if it’s not it’s an awesome trip and the guides and staff are amazing - Chrissie at reception was friendly and welcoming, Wade was a legend. Thank you for everything, keep doing what you do! Cannot recommend the Cosmos Centre enough!!

Attended the night show experience hosted by Jack - showed us the Celestial Pole, he saved my life! On a serious note, it was such an amazing experience. Just looking through the telescopes to see different objects in the sky, amazing and beautiful! All the staff were great too! It's just, beyond words sitting there and looking up whilst waiting for your turn at the telescope.Also attended the sun viewing show hosted by Wade - he was very informative and friendly as well! A great session, which again, not what I was expecting. The sun was so good to be looking at through the telescope!Great info in the centre as well, all staff each time we were in were friendly and helpful!
