Estate Vaucluse House
Had an excellent birthday high tea here on a Wednesday. Every morsel was distinctly tasty and I was offered the best mocktail I think I have ever had which was the mojito. Service was amazing all the way through. We were offered a second plate of sandwiches which made it perfect for lunch. Lovely grounds, easy parking, and the ambiance was great for a celebration. I'd love to come back and explore the grounds when it's a bit less wet from this unseasonable rain.

The location and setting for this restaurant is just beautiful. A quiet, elegant terrace - perfect for an intimate lunch. The menu is interesting and imaginative. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by poor service and a lack of menu choices. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but we waited far too long for everything. We ordered a prawn dish to share for entree and pork belly and beef cheeks for mains but the mains arrived before the prawns. We then had to wait over 30 minutes for the mains to be brought back. No apologies, just a surly attitude from the staff. We waited 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared and had to ask for the dessert menu. The cheesecake was great and the chocolate fondant scrumptious. Lunch was over $200 so it’s not a low-cost experience. Such a shame as the food was delicious and the location sublime. They just need to lift their game on the service.

Had such a great baby shower high tea here today. All the team were so friendly and helpful, they got us whatever we needed whenever we needed it.Let us drive right up to the door to let older guests in and out.But on-top of everything the food was GREAT everything was delicious and fresh. It was also super generous in serving we all left like fat little pigs.

I really hope that people considering holding their event here read this before they do and then reconsider. The staff are unhelpful and unpleasant. This isn't the first bad experience here. It's a nice venue but there are so many more venues where there are friendlier staff who are more helpful and leave with a better taste in one's mouth.

My attended a function here.I didn't actually see the menu.The food that I had was excellent. The coffee was excellent. Despise a high ratio of customers to staff they managed to keep the food flowing and drinks arriving.

We had a lovely afternoon tea here on a busy Saturday afternoon. The main room was very busy and quite loud so luckily we were seated in the smaller room in the front with tables no bigger than 4. The tea stand itself was good with a delicious selection of savoury offerings to balance out the sweet. Compared to some other afternoon teas, the tea selection itself was a bit limited but we loved how the scones were served warm with tea after the savouries had been eaten. The highlight of the whole experience though, was our delightful server Eva who despite being ridiculously busy, made time to ensure that all our needs were met. It's been a very long time since I've received such good customer service. Thank you, Eva!

This is the rudest place I have ever been in my life. As soon as you entered the place, you feel that you get judged by the serving lady (she was the only staff wearing a black top among others - assuming that she is semi senior). We did not finish half of our coffee, she came over with the Efpos machine asking us to pay, while it was not a busy date and plenty of tables were still empty. This would the first time and last time for us to come this this place . Good luck to their business as the service is the worst in any standard.

Contrary to most of the negative reviews, we had a pleasant lunch celebrating our grandmother's 89th birthday. Service was great, escorted to a table which suited my nan's needs. The food was well presented, fresh, and portioned well. Our expectations were met and were not disappointed.

Food very tasty but ……. Linguine portion was very disappointing. One soup ladle size in the middle of a large bowl. Was not adequate for the price paid. Had to ask 2 wait staff for salad dressing, as it didn’t appear to have any on it. Not good value. Suggest restaurant spends more money on their food portions instead of flower decorations.

Terrible service and overpriced especially with the 10% Sunday surcharge. We had a 1pm booking and our high tea came out around 1:20pm however no one came around to take our tea/coffee orders until we hailed over a waitress. Our scones came out last at 2pm (after we asked and chased up about it) and by this point we had already finished eating everything else. Only good experience was the food so compliments to the chef. The wait staff were terrible.
