Transcontinental Hotel Weddings

Ash was there for us from before til after our wedding. The event was seamless, intimate and memorable. Staff were attentive, food and service amazing. I would highly recommend the Transcontinental. Special mention to our drinks waiter Ethan!

Couldn't be happier to have our wedding at the Transcontinental Hotel. We didn't know beforehand that they do weddings, but oh my DO THEY DO WEDDINGS!The venue is beautiful and a unique space that provides different areas for different parts of your celebration, or to give guests a chance to find their own space. Their food is amazing, truly amazing. When you see the price you won't believe how good the food is! But all our guests, irrelevant of their dietary requirements, had a beautiful meal and couldn't stop raving about it. Drinks packages are very generous with high quality drinks.But the absolute highlight of the Transcontinental Hotel is their staff. Their friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was the most perfect celebration of us. Best of all is Ashley, the event coordinator. She is one of the most exceptional coordinators we have seen. She has a laid back attitude, that disguises her amazing eye for detail. She will not let anything get by her to ensure your day is perfect! She makes the whole planning process an absolute breeze, and is super responsive, where other venues we first contacted were not. Thank you so much Ash for all that you did for us, we are so grateful.The Transcontinental Hotel is an absolute surprise for how good a venue it is, but if you are looking for a city based venue to host your wedding, you would struggle to find better than the Trans for all they offer! We chose Transcontinental Hotel as our wedding reception venue and we have no regrets. The Trans team were super organised and receptive to all of our ideas and requests, the food was delicious, the drinks flowed smoothly and we loved the features of the heritage hotel setting. An additional positive was that the city location was logistically easy for our guests to get home from and there were plenty of accommodation options within walking distance for our guests from out of town. Our wedding reception was all that we hoped it would be. Thank you Ash, Jordi & team!

We had our wedding here and could not have been happier! The location, venue, food, drinks and organisation from the staff were incredible. They made our day so simple and we absolutely loved it! Ash helped us from day one get everything organised and ensured we didn’t have any stress on the day, and our guests loved the atmosphere! The brick walls, grand staircase and wooden bar set the perfect vibe for us!

When we first were seeking affordable small wedding venues it was between The Trans and another venue. Initially we went with the other as although Ashley's customer service was amazing the other venue was a little smaller. Cue in problems. Change in staff, change in menu etc etc. So I went back to the Trans Hotel Weddings site and downloaded their new menu and see if their packages were the same. Before I had a chance to contact Ash directly, I received an email saying she noticed I downloaded the package again is there anything she can help with. YES YOU CAN!!!For all of our wedding vendors on the day Ash her event and management skills, her team and of course the gorgeous Historical Transcontinental Hotel - Platform Bar functions room had to be our Vendor of the day!!! Also noting across the road from Roma Street Parklands which is beautiful for photos where we had ours.Ash actually read all of my emails thoroughly, responded to every query, never missing a thing. Ash is kind, patient, thorough, helpful but most of all she cares. She is passionate and such a beautiful person both inside and out.Our Cocktail Reception was more than we could have hoped for - Brilliant and Outstanding! We did not have to do a thing - everything was handled brilliantly by Ash. On the day and even the day before, we did not have to worry about a thing. Ash took care of everything, took care of set up, other suppliers, pack down. Just did everything we did not have to lift a finger.The venue was perfect - friendly, welcoming comfortable, the food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, the staff all wore a smile and were so friendly and they all seemed happy to be there - which as ex hospitality staff we loved to see.Ashley, you are an absolute pleasure and a delight. Thank you does not seem to be enough. You are truly just Fantastic and Awesome and your venue is beautiful for any type of wedding, You are not just highly recommended as a venue but for You, your work, your passion. To you and your team - THANK YOU!!For all of you brides out there - if you are looking for an affordable, friendly responsive venue for your reception (ceremony too if you like) then GO HERE !!. I researched over 50 venues and even before our booking the absolute best Customer Service EVER!!

Absolutely beautiful venue with amazing staff creating an unforgettable wedding celebration. Ash was our event manager and made every step a breeze and made us both fee comfortable and at ease.

We got married here in June 2021 and it was absolutely incredible. Our friends and family still talk about our wedding reception a year on. They all enjoyed the food, the fact the party went late and the option to stay in the city or easily get public transport/uber home. The team are wonderful and extremely accommodating when we had to move our original wedding date due to covid. We also had a group of non-drinkers and they really enjoyed the amount of mocktails the bar staff could whip up for them to feel included. Set up and pack down was also super easy. It was so relaxing being able to walk out the night of the wedding and know we didn't need to worry about pack up until Monday morning. I cannot thank the team enough for everything they did to make our night the best.

We had our reception at the transcontinental hotel but let me paint the picture.We had three venues that we were considering, and for some reason we felt the need to check out The Trans. Ash (the wedding coordinator) blew us away with her enthusiasm, nothings to hard attitude & her ability to see our dream and just make it happen.The whole experience was stress free and hands down exactly what we asked for. The chef served up the most amazing food, and the staff were delightful and replicated ash’s attention to detail.My wifes only regret was she didn’t eat enough oyster (they were so fresh and delicious) but I’m sure all brides can relate.The value for money is beyond generous and the bar team are very talented.We had a live Brazilian band, that found them so easy to work with.We can’t speak highly enough for the team at The Transcontinental Hotel. Our guest are still talking about the reception to this day.Go see Ash and her team and forget the rest, seriously, the best venue in brisbane!!!!!

We had our wedding reception here in September 22 and we couldn’t have picked a better venue! From the very first interaction, we knew it was going to be a good fit. We were planning the wedding from Sydney and Ashley was so accommodating, informative and helpful from organising our virtual viewing via my MoH to coordinating all the vendors in the week leading up to the wedding. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, even before the wedding decorations went in and provided the perfect space for our reception. Hubby and I were free to dance the night away, while the team took care of the drinks, the food, and even went above and beyond to accommodate for the kids that were there. The food was absolutely amazing, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the night. Ashley and the team really came through for us, and made the whole event seamless and stress free - we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. 100/10 recommend for your wedding and/or reception!

We had our wedding here and it couldn’t have been a better choice! The staff were so lovely and so helpful and the setup was so elegant and simple. We were so happy with how smooth the evening went and how beautiful the night was. The food was so delicious, everyone enjoyed and complimented it.
