As a dentist, I can say that their care was immaculate. We took our baby for release of tongue tie. Tim was very informative and the outcome was great. Not only would I be happy referring my patients to Tim, I would be happy to bring my family in as patients as required.

It was stressful and negative experience for us.It started off we were running late, we called to inform we will be there 15 mins pass our appointment. The moment we walked in, the receptionist told us 'oh it's been 20 mins late, I have to see if they can still see you'. Coming from retail background, this customer service standard to me, I feel is not very positive. My husband n I already said..it's ok..just fix these teeth and we won't come back anymore.I checked my phone, we were on the dot 15 mins. We understand this as they have their schedule to keep up.In the room, we were asked a series of questions, the atmosphere was a bit tense.Leading towards checking my bubs teeth, I was told to put my bub down on my lap to form a bridge then she went on to check my bubs teeth. All this process from lying down on lap to checking teeth and through checking. Her explanation to my bub was very brief, did not allow extra time for my bub to process and accept it. My bub was in distress.I was caught off guard and wasn't guided or given time to explain to my bub or signal to take a break. To them it's ok, every kid will be like this and they won't be scarred for life. Then right after the stressful ordeal, they told us, the dentist will do the same. We did not allow it as their attitude made us uncomfortable and we did not feel safe.So when the dentist came in, we asked if we can do it at a slower pace, below was the reply from the dentist.' I will do it at my pace, I will be quick, just 10 seconds. I have been in the industry for 30 years, I know. 'My husband pushed and asked, can we give my bub a bit more time.'i have another kid waiting for me'I understand we may be late. We rather they said have to reschedule as we are late than rush us through or advise us we have to do a longer appointment for my bub.We didn't feel heard, we didn't feel comfortable, assured or safe with these people. We do not trust that they will be gentle. All the while talking to us with no SMILES.I'm surprised that this is a pediatric dentistry clinic. The process was not kid friendly. Even us as parents felt very uncomfortable, it didn't work for us.We are now off to look for dentist that will spend more time and actually tell my bub, we are going to open your mouth now, before actually doing it. And when my bub is in distress will actually offer some assurance to my bub. After the ordeal, the assistant and receptionist did talk to us and offer empathy. We understand they have the things they need to do but the experience was not what we can accept. They did say they welcome us to come back later or make another appointment. They did not charge us either. Our general dentist will even say, he seems not ready this time, we do not want to traumatise him. We had bad experience with child health nurse restraining our bub for length measurement. 'get it over and done with' had never worked for our bub.If youre after a quick impersonal dental care, this may be for you..if you're looking for gentle and patience...I feel you may need to look elsewhere.

My daughter had waterlase to her tongue tie with ikids. She went from being almost completely bottle fed to 100% breast fed. We were very happy with the Eve, the lactation consultant and the procedure itself. They were very quick to get back to us out of working hours when we had a query after the procedure.

Lip and Tongue tie revision for my 2 month old.Everyone we dealt with at ikids was amazing - priorised informed consent. Amazing bed size manner. It's not an easy thing to see done to your bub, but they left me confident in our choice, confident in how to support him going forward, and confident in my instincts as a parent. Highly recommend

This would have to be one of the best dental practices I have been to over the years! Where did the positive experience start ? it started as soon as I called them and asked for a urgent appointment, yet they were able to accommodate it. Then when we walk in they had toys for my daughter to play with which was followed up by the two dental nurses as well as the dentist himself going out of their way to make stories and fairy tale names for the dental equipment they were going to use.. on top of this he saved us a lot of money by being honest and telling us what the other dentist recommended was not necessary. My daughter left with a smile on her face and I feel if a lot more people had these experiences with pediatric dentists as kids a lot less people would be scared of the dentist. I highly recommend Dr Tim and the rest of the dental nurse team :)

Can not recommend enough. Our son had his frenectomy at 3 weeks old and the change in his feeding is unbelievable. Tim and his team made us feel so comfortable and treated Fergus with so much respect and care. Eve is incredible as well, offering another facet of care for new mums. Thank you so much. Without private cover, iKids is worth every cent!

Wow is all I can say!I was there today with my 4.5 week old baby to have her tongue & lip ties released. Every single person working there is an asset to this business. Everyone was friendly, supportive and kind.Eve was so knowledgeable and friendly and Dr Tim was incredible.I have been elsewhere in the past for the same procedure with my eldest children, and I only wish I knew about ikids back then. The cherry on top is that Dr Tim puts himself on call afterwards for the babies, just in case anything goes wrong. I've never heard of a dentist doing that before, and my previous dentist certainly didn't!Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Tim Johnston and the staff at ikids dental, we live remotely they made it so easy and less stressful booking appointments via email and phone keeping me update with everything from the start to the end. They where so friendly, helpful and caring from the beginning at the ikids to the surgery at the hospital. They all went above and beyond to make our trip and procedure comfortable and stress free it was my sons first surgery and he is a completely different kid after one day of surgery. So thankful and grateful for all the staff that made our experience comfortable and stress free including the ladies at the reception that helped me so much with appointments and information relating to the procedure can’t thank you all enough
