This Thai Restaurant has been in Camden for years. It’s in an historic building so you may eat in different rooms, it’s very quaint.The food beautiful, I would say some of the best in Sydney, I only eat Thai at Fan Thai.They’re not licensed but don’t worry there’s a pub across the road with a bottleO behind it.And the s service is great too.

Beautiful food! I have been here twice and they fail to disappoint with the quality of the food and the vivid tastes of their dishes. Located in a beautiful spot in Camden! Will definitely go there again!

Unpleasant greeting, dirty atmosphere, disgusting chair covers....food took too long and was ordinary. I wasn't even asked how everything was when I left they took there money and sent me off. Waitresses was nice....she wasn't thai I didn't get her name. Won't be going there again!!! Clean your cob webs around the window and the dust ....please buy new chairs .

The Tan Thai restaurant in Camden is without doubt the best in town. Service is fast, but not rushed. Food is genuine Thai cuisine and the serving is always plentiful. The staff are tremendous and make the experience so enjoyable.

Based on high rating reviews left by diners on Google, we decided to try this resto and happily waited for it to open at 5pm (ignoring our hunger pangs).We were not aware that dining reservations were required. We were asked by the lady who appeared to be a manager/owner (seemed to be of Asian/Thai background) if we had a reservation. We said no. We're asked if we will be staying beyond 630pm to which I replied, we should be finished eating by 6pm. We're eventually let in. We're thankful.We noticed that everytime we said thank you for every food served to our table (as courtesy), no acknowledgement was coming from her. It's not that we're expecting her to, but it's obviously too different with the way she warmly welcomed non-Asian diners. She'd happily respond to their thank yous.We felt she became happy seeing us finished our food before 6pm and immediately asked us (without being requested) if we need a takeaway container for the leftover food. We felt rushed.We're of Asian background and it's the first time we felt unwelcomed and discriminated against by someone of Asian descent. We're perplexed why we received such treatment. We should not have gone in as we did not have a reservation.Feeling the hurt of my young niece and nephew from this dining experience, I became so propelled to share it through this page.

There must have been a change here. Previously eaten many tasty flavoursome Thai meals here.Just been served spring rolls deep fried tough as leather. Steamed rice was not steamed but half cooked and hard. Green chicken curry with frozen veges and watery sauce, poor flavour.We won’t be back.. such a pity.
