Salvos Stores North Parramatta

The price of old donated items are VERY,VERY VERY HIGHwe can buy new at KMART for half you price??? Think beforeyou MARK YOUR PRICE?

I went to this store this morning for some bargains and found the prices close to what I would expect to pay in a retail store so I and also 2 other women there walked out with nothing. I took photos of some items that I was shocked at the prices they had on them eg. A vase made out of pottery very plain had a sticker on it for $100 and 1 Crystal wine glass at $5. Also a porcelain casserole dish with lid and a piece broken off the dish sitting on a plate for $200! Sitting on a beautiful timber table with 5 chairs for $250! Pictures framed for $50 just to name a few. I couldn’t believe the pricing for a charity store for items that were donated. Very disappointed in this charity looking like an antique shop and the people at the top getting rich off donations from their customers.

Large shop, looked messy and dirty. Close to Vinnies - Nth Parramatta. Very pricey for a Salvos store. Left disappointed.

Large shop. Prices are likely high.Close to Vinnies North Parramatta, only a few minutes walk after crossing the road in front of it.Worth checking it out as one might find some good stuffs.Lots of bed matresses.

This charity shop has gone upmarket, like the one nearby. I can understand it, but I don't know if it will have the desired effect (more $$$)... it will probably just push people over to Kmart where it's cheaper to buy new goods that also look current. As for the resellers - who they may feel are taking advantage of them - they are most likely broke like everyone else, hence the need for the 'side hustle'. (And yes, a couple of weeks ago I several people on their phones checking out how something would sell for on Ebay). So the high prices will push them away too. Seems to me that a lot of good stuff is going to end up in landfills now.

Thank you again to the young blonde girl who helped me choose a number of items yesterday. Then helped with wrapping and organised a box to carry everything. A very friendly place to shop. Thank you

I've never laughed so hard in an op shop before. $40 for The Hobbit extended edition, $25 for the second season of game of thrones, $25 for a broken dinosaur robot with no remote and the best was $70 for the box set of season 8 to 12 of Hawaii Five-0. This Slavos must think its a JB HI-Fi, except they charge more for second hand then it was worth brand new. Save your tine and money. I didn't bother looking at the clothes after looking at the media.

Store had a great selection, organised and tidy. The only downside is some things are overpriced such as Shein clothing. Overall great experience.
