Food was above average pub food but the service was friendly as friendly could be and appreciative that we were there.

We stayed in the Queen with ensuite. We expected once the pub closed we would get a good night sleep but no. We had a sleepless night due to people continue to party on and playing pool after closing. It didn't stop until after numerous complaints. The noise was over the top. Our room would fill with cigarette smoke off and on during our stay. It was difficult to control the hot and cold water in the shower. Either ended up with a cold shower or a hot shower.

Nice atmosphere and the food certainly looks good, unfortunately when I went to order food I was told the kitchen was closed quite curtly which is understandable. However right afterwards as I was about to speak up to order a drink the person serving me immediately turns away to greet another customer which I assume is a regular and completely ignores me and proceeds to serve them. Unfortunately bad service at what seems to be a nice establishment.

I've been coimg here for a while and just love it. The beers on tap are amazing for craft beer, and they still have some macro stuff in to please every one. The kids love the beer garden playground, and the vibe is very open and accepting. I love hanging out here, drinking amazing beers while the kids have a ball! Cheers Ded

Looking for a great bar in Newcastle? This gem has a cool front bar, a relaxing beer garden, and amazing food - especially the pork belly. The staff is exceptional, making you feel welcome and cared for. Highly recommended for a casual hangout or a culinary adventure.

A solid pub for the atmosphere and a drink. Great trivia and always a joy to pop over here after Wednesday night sport.Unfortunately the food is really lacking in quality and flavour however they have some decent weekday specials. Choose wisely.

The finest of city pubs, which has managed to keep hold of city edge while also maintaining old town charm. Perfect balance of charm n and grit with a comprehensive menu, good people and cool culture. The food is good. The drinks are good. It's exactly where you need it to be. Just go.
