Star Track

I have been waiting for a parcel from Telstra re my landline phone. They - Telstra told that they would be sending it via StarTrack. I said don't as they didn't deliver a parcel about 3 or 4 years ago. That was left at the Post Office and I never knew. Until I had a request from Telstra - it was a mobile phone as our landline was not working and I had to return it. That was 3 months later. I never knew it was there. The then postmaster said I am not a courier service. He said they should advise you that the parcel is there. I had nothing.I found out yesterday that the current parcel I am waiting for was again delivered to the Post Office and this time the P.O, sent out a note in the mail that there was parcel there. My husband had to do a 44 km round trip to pick it up. Why should we when they StarTrack. have to go right past our mail box, which is that close to the main road it would take less than 2 min leave it.I phoned up the Horsham business and said why can't you drop it off. The reply was It is not in our policy if we deliver out to the country. They are told to go to the nearest town and leave it at the P.O. Why didn't they let us know - oh that would take time and money.I wonder how much it cost Telstra to send it? If that parcel had to go to a place in Horsham then they would deliver it to their door.We should all be treated the same whether we are in a city or country. I call it discrimination toward those of us in the country.

The deliveries are always on time. I have had no trouble in 5 years.
