....BUYER BEWARE...my advise to you is steer clear of budget direct or any of there auto and general brands.insurer of the year not by far! All the negative reviews on here are true as the same thing is happening to me right now.i have a car that was repaired poorly and now stillfighting with the insurance company for the remainder of the repairs due to the accident.They will atempt to say they were preexisting to get out of covering such damage.my accident happened in April and is still ongoing.i have been with them for a number of years but you never realise how good your insurance company is until you make a claim (none in 25 years of driving)the public should be aware of the disgraceful practices that are encouraged at budget direct.I have learnt a valuable lesson not just to get the cheapest insurance and also to review them before hand....which is my advise to you....

I think all went well. I didn't hear whether my repairs were approved. (That was say... Tues last week) today I went to the repairer and he was submitting a quote to the ins co. (?)

Auto and General, the underwriter for Budget, are a disgrace.I had to lodge a complaint with the AFCA as I was threatened by the managing assessor of Budget to reverse my claim.. After they'd already repaired my vehicle through their network.A bunch of bullies, look elsewhere for your insurance needs.

Scammer insurance just imagine it's an insurance events typhoons their builder contractor are lies and they will devalue your property and disapprove your claims better look for another very poor services what is the purpose of paying premiums just a waste of money.

Poor in every avenue, useless support that sent you in circles each department will tell you it's not there area and keep transferring you in circles until you get hung up on...I was a not at fault driver, they changed there mind after the car was already repaired after talking to the other driver who was obviously on his phone whilst driving and changed lanes into me and budget ignored my footage then said they lost my footage and cannot find any email.legal action will be taken as the video is clear as day what happened.Do not go with the cheapest company they refuse to pay and stuff you around the reviews are true...AVOID at all cost you're just handing your money over to a company that doesn't support or help you.

This is the worst ever insurance company to deal with. They will take your money and be as difficult as possible to deal with. Their internet systems don't work, more than 30 min wait for phone calls and minimum 3nonths + for them to process a claim. Their call center has no idea what's going on and you'll be lucky to find someone who does.It is NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS PLACE.Check their Facebook and social media. It's filled with complaints.

Budget Direct car insurance is a Rip-off".They are happy to take your money

My car was repaired at an approved repairer and was returned with panel damage in 3 sections, with photographic evidence the damage wasn’t there when the car was initially towed. I have emailed and left numerous messages over the last three weeks, all of which have been ignored. I also received no updates during the 5 weeks it took to the repairs to take place

Writing this as I’m hold to the Budget Direct (Auto General) in particular the Assessment Centre who have been utterly hopeless at dealing with my not at fault claim. I’ve been without a car and any real update on what’s happening for more than 2 weeks. I’ve spent countless hours waiting on hold without anyone even picking up. I’ve even made a complaint online, been assigned to a duty manager who also hasn’t bothered to return my call. Although their claims department (seperate to assessments) answers fairly quickly - they seem powerless to assist. I didn’t know service could be this dreadful. I appreciate they’re busy but al I want is a regular update from a human who can determine what’s going on. I’ll be seriously considering who I choose for insurance in the future... if claims handling is important to you - I wouldn’t recommend using this company whatsoever. Absolute shocking.

The worst service compared to others. It has taken over a week and no feedback from the insurance company. I'm still stuck with a smashed car although I have car hire. The car is undriveable yet they won't tow it. I strongly advise people to look elsewhere when ensuring even if others are more expensive. I am suffering from a back ache, had a miscarriage all because of this accident and this insurance company has still not attended to my car. You be the judge of the service they provide.
