Beautifully renovated country pub - family friendly, great customer service (thanks Renae) with a modern take on the traditional pub meal. The beer batter fish was a standout. We’ll be back!!

Attended for Sunday lunch and the first thing that we noticed was the stench of cigarette smoke walking down the alleyway to the bistro.Upon entry Renee was helpful, however after receiving our food we did not see another staff member the entire time that we were there. The nacho chips were extremely stale, to the point that they were inedible. The much vaunted burger was just like Kyabram, dry and boring and the marinade on the meat tasted like some of the supermarkets finest. The renovation that was completed on the pub is interesting, with some great aspects, however it looks like the budget may have begun to run skint with some less than flattering finishes.Overall it looks like someone has put in some effort to restore and revitalise the quintessential country pub, however has fallen short of the mark.

This hotel seems to be lacking the fundamentals, wait staff seemed in experience and couldn't read the room, specials were called out and interrupted conversations, Texas rib Texas rib rack was supposed to be fall off the bone but the knife bounced off the meat, table was not cleared for half an hour after food finished and all the wait staff had finished work before we had left so 1 barman was left to clear the table and set up for a birthday cake. Need to get back to basics of good service

Really small menu, $16 for 2 odd tasting chicken tenders and chips. They forgot several orders, were reminded after almost 2 hours. Comped 2 of the missing meals a drink each for the 2 hour wait for their meal, didn't comp anyone else.Just small things; Charged an eftpos fee without saying there was an eftpos fee. Don't have coke zero, only diet, had to go to the bar to get refilled water bottles, twice.Nice place, nice staff. It was absolutely full to the brim. They're newly opened, so I understand things happen. I will be going back and giving it another shot. Everyone else's food smelled delicious.

The food was great. Best steak I've had in a very long time. Room was not airconditioned and the temp had got to 47 and was still above 40 when we were there. Not enough staff, dinner dishes were not cleared away and we were still there over an hour after completing our meals. We had a private room for a work Christmas break up but still got served drinks in plastic cups after 9.30pm.

poor, Poor and POOR...The quality of food & service here, were beyond shocking. 'Re-furbished' environment is unsettling, along with the awful attitudes from staff, and even worse food standards, I would not return, nor recommend to anyone. I am truly appalled at the venue... [Read on for more]The much-bragged parmigiana's had obviously been taken from freezers, without proper defrosting. Although cooked, the ice had been absorbed by the chicken, rendering a watery, tasteless meal. A half-portion" cost $18.50

Very good food and service for Sunday lunch. A good range of wine. Best restaurant in town I suspect.

Never been there before. Would never go back. Played safe or so I thought ordered the fish. Not only was it terrible it was less than entree in size & the beer batter was just as bad. Would never recommend anyone to eat there. Staff were very helpful & concerned about our thoughts.

Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was lovely. Was a chilly night and quite cold in the Bistro. Meals were a little pricey. I don't mind paying for good food, but I had the garlic prawns and was a mixed experience. The prawns were tasty & cooked well but the rice was hard & dry and the sauce was just basically melted butter so not what I expected for $38 and not very pleasant or good value for money. Carbonara looked lovely.
