I'm in Western Australia for the first time over from Melbourne and decided to pop down from Fremantle to visit the Busselton Jetty. We discovered this absolute gem called Shelter Brewing Co right on the Busselton foreshore which was a sight for thirsty travelers after doing the 1.8km walk both ways of the jetty! The beer mostly caters towards local tastes here in WA with many pale ale options, being a tourist destination it would be nice to have a dark beer option that they could brew in house, however I did enjoy the Red Ale on tap here at Shelter. The Pizza was quite nice, it emulates a Neapolitan style pizza, which is how pizza is intended to be with limited toppings and a focus on quality ingredients (rather than 'Anglo Pizza' full to the brim with toppings) however with some very minor modifications to this pizza, the kitchen at Shelter would be able to serve up a bang on perfect Neapolitan style pizza.Just some suggestions to the kitchen for the pizza to get it perfect (it's still quite good! Don't take this as negative feedback!)The base was thin however the crust was crunchy rather than chewy, if the dough recipe was changed to use a type 00 high protein pizza flour and allowed to ferment in the fridge prior to being used for a few days, it would be bang on to what a Neapolitan type pizza base is like with a chewy rather than crunchy base. The prosciutto was a bit thick with a lot of fat, having a thick slice of the prosciutto takes away from its taste and the fat overpowers the flavor of the base and the other ingredients on the pizza. If the prosciutto was changed to San Daniele prosciutto that was cut razor thin and then most of the excess fat removed, it would allow the more delicate flavors of the prosciutto to come out.Even if the price of the pizza had to come up by a few dollars to accommodate these changes in ingredients, they would make a huge difference to the Pizza and it would go from being 'good' to 'great!'Finally the front of house staff are fantastic at Shelter and they complete the experience, without a good front of house team you can't have a good experience as a customer, so credit where credit is due, keep up the great work your efforts are noticed.Five stars, I enjoyed my time here at Shelter, the prices are cheap as well (comparative to Melbourne), the service is good and you won't be disappointed by the food.

We came on a busy Sunday and there was a huge line to get in - we thought we'd be waiting for ages but we didn't have to wait long at all before we were seated. We ordered kombucha, sparkling water, calamari as an entree and the beef brisket with tortillas to share. The wait staff were all incredible- some of the best we've come across! Service was fast, friendly and welcoming. Our food was delicious. Absolutely loved it.

HAVEN FOR PEOPLE WITH FOOD INTOLERANCES!This place offers a number of delicious dishes that can immediately be adapted for people with food intolerances. My wife and I can't consume wheat/gluten, dairy, or soy. To our pleasant surprise, over the course of two separate visits, we were able to try a mouthwatering beef burger, pepperoni pizza, salt n pepper calamari, real potato chips, and an extremely leafy chicken caesar salad - all free of the ingredients we can't have! There looked to be plenty of other amazing options on the menu too. The meals were delicious and we would definitely come back to enjoy again. On our second visit to this place, we had an unfortunate experience whereby someone mixed up our order and we were given a regular burger bun. It wasn't until we were partway though the burger that we realised it wasn't the gluten free option that we enjoyed on our first visit. We brought the matter up with one of the staff and the restaurant manager did the most kindly and noble thing by voiding our ENTIRE bill! We couldn't believe it. And even though we're not allergic to gluten (it won't kill us if we accidentally consume it but will cause a lot of discomfort) the restaurant still treated the oversight with great seriousness. We would definitely return, simply based on the uprightness of their response. Thanks so much Shelter Brewing Co! Please keep up your amazing menu and quality service.

A large brewery n restaurant located right in front of the Busselton Jetty entrance. Excellent views of the seafront and a great spot for views of the surrounding area. We dropped by for lunch here , sampled a variety of their ales and had some food to go with it. Service was prompt and excellent. Overall great vibe at this place and I would recommend this.

5 stars for the generous servings of mussels! Selected ‘Hot’ as the spice level and it really packs a punch! Really flavourful and it felt like i could taste the ocean. Very reasonably priced and the portion came with 35 mussels for $35. Got the prawn pizza and prawn brioche as well but it was quite average, overall 4 stars!

We've eaten at the Shelter quite a few times. The staff are friendly, the food is great and flavoursome. The plant-based burger is the best I've tasted. We've never been let down. They have a good selection of their own brews. Thank you all for the great service.

Great location and great vibe.We ordered the wings and chilli mussels.Wings were 10/10Chilli mussels had Parmesan cheese through it which wasn’t stated on the menu, so we couldn’t eat them.Disappointing it wasn’t mentioned in the menu as we would of asked without or ordered something else.Place is also quite pricey

Service was incredible, super friendly genuine staff. Had a pizza and to say it was amazing is an understatement. Then of course the beers. Was first time there so had to go a paddle to try them and they’ve hit the nail on the head with all of them (Pale, Summer Sour, Surfwax Sour & IPA)Would 100% recommend as venue is an absolute vibe too!

Great spot for hangout. Foods are good for sharing. Service was super quick. Huge space. Plenty of options for food and drinks. In terms of what we ordered, the beef brisket was average. Beef a bit dry and tough, not juicy at all. We also ordered iceberg salad, margarita pizza, and some chips which were ok. But I still rate the spot because the food came out super fast, and it was very easy to get help from the staff.
