Rainforest Restaurant

My family and I stayed at Thunderbird Park accomodation these past two night. Having two small kids we thought it would be awesome to eat dinner at the property restaurant. We arrived early at 6:30pm and were told by the gentlemen on the desk that it was fully booked despite the fact we saw many vacant tables. Then I asked what about later. He did a fake look at his iPad and said fully booked but “we do have barrels outside but it might rain”. Great customer service there… not. So we took them so we get get out two kids fed. We sat there from 6:30pm til 9pm. At around 7:30 there was only two of about 10 tables with guests and that continued til about 9pm. We spoke to this manager about why he lied about being fully booked. Some new lie about 5 bookings come out of his mouth (you had ten tables dude). Obviously manager or chef didn’t want toWork hard that night. Not a customer focused place .. avoid

I'm so pleased I chose this wonderful spot for lunch. Set in a stunning tropical garden, Rainforest Restaurant is a place to relax amongst the greenery, sip on good wine and nibble on their delicious Share Platter.

Enjoyed a beautiful dinner with my husband last night at the Rain Forest restaurant. As usual the service was exceptional and food was beautiful, we always enjoy it here! Highly recommend!

My family of 10 and I, enjoyed delicious meals at lunch time on Easter Saturday, followed by great activities outside for the children, but were very disappointed that we were unable to buy coffee. Staff telling us, they had no water. Clearly not the staff’s fault, they were doing their jobs to the best of their ability, I felt sorry for the staff members because they had to deal with disgruntled guests. Management should’ve have been addressing the problem and keeping guests informed of what the problem was and when it was going to be resolved.

My wife and I went to the Rainforest Restaurant while staying at Mt Tamborine for our honeymoon. We were amazed with how beautiful and clean the place was. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. We had the share plate and walked out very satisfied. Can't wait to visit again.

Came with a group of 5 for buffet breakfast around 830am. We were highly disappointed with the food, it wasn’t even warm, looked like it had been sitting there for more than an hour and when requesting for hot water for coffee 1 young staff member had the audacity to say to us with a rude look on her face“ the water is warm enough”For the price per person paid, we won’t be returning.

We were very satisfied at the incredible meal we enjoyed at Rainforest Restaurant at Thunderbird Park. We tried 2 starters, 2 mains & 2 desserts. Every mouthful was divine. We had read reviews 3 months ago before getting a chance to properly experience the exquisite quality of meals at the restaurant. Most importantly, you MUST book especially for lunch or dinner as they are always fully booked! Seeing the restaurant only opens Thursday to Saturday therefore, a booking is essential but definitely worth the trip to Thunderbird Park. The crispy pork belly in bao buns were amazing. Every bite melted in your mouth. We had the lamb and the 400g rump and both were incredibly well cooked and perfect. The only thing I could fault was the mushroom sauce which was on this occasion particularly salty. We gave the chef feedback straight away. It was an experience I will never forget and upon turning 50, I must say I am looking for perfect experiences and this definitely was one! I will be willing to return to this restaurant and venue yearly for the quality of food, professional service and the amazing experience we had tonight. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was well worth every cent at our previous stay (early December). Unfortunately, as we were given the wrong information, we missed out experiencing the dinner and had to settle for takeaway pizzas which were incredible but disappointing as I was so looking forward to trying the restaurant. So, happy I got to finally experience it 26 days later! I would say this time at Cedar Creek Lodges at Thunderbird Park seemed a very quiet night as opposed to the Friday 2nd to 4th December 2022 as there was no receptions booked in. In Wallaby Lodge, it was terribly noisy on 2nd & 3rd December due to yelling & screaming from drunk guests at the wedding receptions. I will definitely enquire in future if staying here if you have receptions booked in as it would make a huge difference to where we stay. Our friends in Bush Lodges didn't hear any of the noise from the reception in early December. Just a heads up for those in Wallaby Lodges as the noise carries straight into the bedrooms and we only got to sleep once the guests left venue and things got quiet. Thank you for the wonderful experience we have had this time! See you in 1 year.

My partner and I dined in while we were staying at Songbirds for my birthday. The service was absolutely terrible. While the tables around us were receiving their food and being checked upon it seemed no one bothered to check on us. My husband had to stand up to get service so we could order our food and get some drinks after we were sitting for over 20 mins then the waiter advised him no one is servicing our corner or something. Once we ordered we waited patiently for around 45 mins for just our entree which was burrata, fresh tomatoes and 4 slices of ciabatta. When my husband consulted a lovely guy named Robert behind the bar he advised our entree was sent to the wrong table then followed up about our mains. He then advised us that our whole order wasn’t even put through to the kitchen due to the wifi being down and offered us two free drinks. He was very lovely and understanding. However, this was very disappointing considering it was a birthday dinner and would not have happened if we had a waiter checking in on us. We constantly needed to wave down the attention of staff for any service or stand up. I normally don’t post negative reviews but for the price of the food the service should be better. It was a terrible experience.
