Horrific face to face marketing strategies. Stawell 23/11 the young men campaigning" thinking that their "charm and good looks" was somehow the key to getting money from people - comments about my age and "how good I look"

I have no experience with this place, I have, however just had 2 people at my door attempting to get donations.... I live in Queensland, whenI asked what funding they recieved from. the government and they said none... flat out lied to me also based in Melbourne, but are sending people to rural, struggling communities trying to survive after devastating floods, how much more disgusting can you be

Was stopped at my local supermarket by what seemed to be a marketer or sales person trying to persuade me to donate to the foundation. While the intention of donating to a cancer foundation is a good cause, the tactics used is deplorable and distasteful; trying to convince people to sign up and hand over CC details only to undermine them when they question how it works just brings you a bad image. If there was gold coin or paper note donations a lot more people would be inclined to donate as opposed to essentially creating a repeatable billed amount on your CC/Debit Card with no transparency knowing how much of these funds are actually going towards the foundation and what is being siphoned to the businesses/agencies responsible for setting these stands up.

Claim to be the biggest cancer hospital in Australia, yet they’re not even a hospital. Stay away at all costs.

I think this Foundation is a gift to so many. The work that is done at Peter MacCallam is second to none. It has such an amazing reputation that it is very busy but thorough. My experience has been one of great frustration as my surgery was done at another hospital and I was then refered to Peter Mac for their expertise pathology on the biopsy. My appointment was in November and they said they would arrange a tele conference in December with results of my pathologies. I was still waiting in February so I rang and they had missed the email sent by the doctor to arrange the tele conference. They said that they would organise one immediately but here it is mid March and we still have not heard. We were in Melbourne for another appointment so we called in and did not leave till we had a tele conference appointment as we live 2 hours drive from Peter Mac.So come Monday I should have my results, but in the mean time the stress has deteriorated my MMN and I have more noticeable wasting of my left hand.

This foundation has a very aggressive and pushy way of marketing their foundation out front of supermarkets.Young males pressuring women into listening to their dribble. Not a good way to market a foundation or charity, rather give my money to other charities that aren’t pushy!

Dishonesty, lies, deception and false promises! They use deception and lies non-stop just to make money. If they expose themselves as grifters from the get-go, then how can we trust them and expect that they do the right thing with our money????They obtained my contact details by pure outright deception! they promised me a free life-saving guide more than a month ago, but they did not deliver. They continued to deceive and asked for more unnecessary personal details. Just now I received an email from their liar-in-chief CEO with what appears to be a link to the promised life-saving guide, instead. it took me to a stupid survey, and after I filled it, it took me straight to the payment page, with no sign of the promised guide! more than a month has passed and I did not receive their life-saving guide!THEY DON'T APPEAR TO BE INTERESTED IN SAVING LIVES. Period.

A lady from the foundation called me today, to ask for some help. She explained details of the job that Peter is working on. She was polite, and patient. I felt her honesty. Since my financial situation is not good at the moment, I could not pay her monthly, she then asked me to put some little donation, I was happy to give the foundation $50 by credit card. At the end of the day, Peter's job will save a lots of Australian lives.

Very pushy. A young girl walks up onto my property as I’m outside working. I kept giving her hints that I wasn’t interested. So she asked me if I live lost anyone to cancer and tried to get me to talk about the loss of my loved one to cancer. Extremely rude and disrespectful. don’t try to get me to open up about my experience with cancer to give you money for your foundation. When I realised they were going to leave I flat out told them I did not want to speak to them about losing my mother in law. It is too soon. I feel terrible after that experience. I was in the middle of going through her items. So rude. There is enough money for cancer research! There is enough technology and information out there to stop it! It’s greed that is the only thing standing in the way!!!
