Daintree Wilderness Lodge

I really enjoyed the stay at the Daintree wilderness lodge. An unique experience, in the forest, well equipped, and clean! The dinner and breakfast offering were great too! I would recommend this to my friends.

My partner and I stayed here as a wedding gift from friends. We absolutely loved it! The shower was such a cool feature, the room was beautiful and the staff super friendly. The food was also delicious, they even made me a special vegetarian meal so I didn’t have to eat the same thing twice :-)Best place we stayed in the Daintree by far and would definitely recommend.

The stay here was absolutely incredible. To be surrounded by the rainforest every morning and night was an incredible experience. Breakfast included was great so I didn’t need to worry, there are awesome choices for dinner also. They have air con and a fan (although wet season I found it was still very very hot because of humidity!)The family who own the resort are so kind and accommodating it was such a world class experience and I have very high standards! Had a truly memorable experience staying at this accommodation. Me and my partner felt very warmly welcomed by both Scott and Daisy. The location is the Daintree rainforest felt so special, close to beautiful walks and beaches to explore. The breakfast was lovely and the dinners were delicious modern Australian. The cabins are so beautiful and comfortable.A special Australian experience all around.After covid lockdowns in Melbourne this holiday was long anticipated and expectations were still exceeded.Thank you to Scott and Daisy.

The food was good, but the execution was not so good. Breakfast was a little all over the place, no real organisation, the coffee well, not what I would call it. The cabins were fantastic. Best we have stayed in. And the bathrooms 5*

We stayed three nights here. I can see that running a business in such a remote location and through a pandemic must be very hard, however the place was a bit disappointing. The setting is amazing, but the rooms are on the run down side. The bathroom looking out onto the rainforest however was really cool.The restaurant, I would avoid. We found the food very overpriced for what it was - basic home cooking. The owners are such lovely people but the service was very disorganised, one morning our coffee took an hour to come out, next morning the breakfast we ordered was completely different from the same one ordered the day before.Wifi is very weak and only available from the restaurant.Hot Tub mentioned is not open for use (disappointing as we arrived on a cold day and were so looking for a soak in a hot tub). For the price & what was promised, I left feeling a bit sad.

While booking a cabin at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge online, I thought it was too good to be true. However, the Lodge actually far exceeded our expectations. Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a boutique hotel, with only 7 wooden cabins, each one having its own attached bathroom. Our bathroom were very spacious and clean. Each cabin is quite large and is connected to the reception/breakfast area through an elevated boardwalk. Each cabin is away from the next cabin, so privacy is not an issue. The Lodge is located in the middle of the forest and yet is so easily accessible by car (no need for a 4x4). Our cabin had a little skylight too which meant that during the day, there was no need to switch on any lights, and in the light you could see quite a few stars even with the dense forest canopy.Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a family-run establishment. Scott, who overseas the running of the hotel, is friendly, super helpful and kind. He gave us some great suggestions and advise so that we could make the most of the Daintree. Many people visit Daintree only as a day-trip, but I honestly feel that that does no justice to the majesty of the forest. We were there for 3 nights, but perhaps one more day would have been nice. After a long day of walking and trekking, it was great to just be in the hotel and wind down. While you are in the Daintree, consider yourself to be off the grid". Mobile connection (especially internet) is very flaky throughout the forest

WOW! What a perfect spot for a honeymoon! Every room is like a private sanctuary in the middle of the rainforest. Even the shower has a magical view. I'm not sure how they managed to serve such great food but every meal was delicious. If they have crocodile spring rolls on the menu you have to try them.

Well into the rainforest and a rather unique experience. Good possibility of encountering the wildlife. Staff friendly and helpful.

We LOVED our stay at Daintree Wilderness Lodge. The place is truly beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. Think boutique bungalow surrounded by rainforest, a wonderful place to base yourself for exploring the Daintree, chill and disconnect from the outside world. We ended up dining at the in house restaurant every night of our stay - food was hearty and delicious, and we loved just being able to stroll back to our room after dinner, often with a glass of wine and DVD in hand.
