Tricia's Discount Fabrics

Wow! This shop is incredible. So many fabrics to choose from and Tricia is so helpful. I have mobility issues so searching round the shop for what I want isn't easy because there is so much to choose from but I just ask Tricia and she will show me where to find what I want. She also has loads of accessories and other sewing needs and is a fountain of information and advice. This shop is a sewer's dream.

Extensive stock with huge range in specially areas. I was looking for a particular shade of plain purple fabric for a Cape for a book week costume and found it there. Quite a few shades of purple available so I could compare and hone in on the shade I needed.

Always very helpful, cheerful, and with a huge range of fabric. We've come here for over 5 years for inspiring fabrics. So many fabrics of all different types. Sometimes we've had some strange requests and they've always been willing to help with cool suggestions. One time we even forgot one and remembered weeks later, they still remembered us and had our fabric held.

Soooooo much fabric! And everything you didn't even know you needed for your sewing and crafting!

I have never written a bad review about any business, but I was treated so poorly on the phone today by a woman who worked here (wasn’t sure whether or not she was the owner). I called up to enquire about a product I was after and she said she had it in a few colours. I wanted to clarify it was the colour I was after, to which she kept cutting me off before I could speak, and then eventually she said’ I’m actually really busy now I can’t speak sorry but we’re open until 2pm today’ and then she hung up the phone! I was so shocked and upset at how I had just been spoken to that I decided to call back and let her know how disappointed I was, and before I was even able to express how I felt, again she cut me off and said, I’m really busy right now I can’t talk okay, goodbye’ and hung up. I was quite literally gobsmacked. I’d imagine that she genuinely was busy, which is a positive thing for the business especially following a lockdown, but if you don’t have time to attend to a customer enquiry, maybe just ask the customer to hold or even call them back. I gave this business 2 stars instead of 1 because they have the best Lycra range in Adelaide, which is great for me because I make dance costumes. It was just a real shame to see a small business like this treat their customers so poorly. I’m hope the owner will see this and take my feedback on board because I genuinely do want to support this business but if I’m treated this way again I will never come back or continue to recommend people here.Mia

First time experience yesterday. Staff were helpful and compared to stores nearby many options you won't find elsewhere. Could be a bit claustrophobic for some, but for others, you find yourself squeezing through delightful rolls of fabric and extra staples that will help you achieve your next project. Will be back.

100% the best fabric shop in South Australia. I have never been disappointed following every visit to this magnificent treasure trove of lovely fabrics. Great friendly and very helpful customer service.
