Our Year 12 daughter has been receiving tutorial support from Larraine Becker at LB Tuition with Maths A during her senior years of schooling. We are so impressed with Larraine’s approach and it has really produced results for our daughter. She has been receiving higher marks in mathematics and feels much more confident going into exams and tackling assignments. She consistently comes away from her tutoring sessions with a smile on her face and the comment “I really understand it now!”. We know she benefits from Larraine’s approach where one or two other students are receiving tuition at the same time from Larraine – our daughter feels there is a great balance between one-on-one support and the chance to try things on her own and then go back over them with Larraine. We think the fact that other students are there too is reassuring – she doesn’t feel like she is the only one needing support. Larraine has got a comfortable purpose-built studio for her tutoring which is welcoming and well set-out. What we have really valued as parents is Larraine’s flexibility – she will offer to change the usual schedule of tutorial sessions to fit in with our daughter’s exam and assignment schedule. Our daughter has accessed other tutoring in earlier years of schooling so we know that LB Tuition is incredibly effective and we are very grateful to Larraine. A very Heart felt thank you to Larraine Becker, an amazing tutor who really cares about helping children. She is very passionate about tutoring kids and every term I see changes in my child. My child is more confident doing homework, assignments and projects. I am also surprised that my child shows discipline, focus and priority towards Homework. My child also speaks fluently and confidently and is not afraid to ask questions. Every term, she asks us to provide lesson plans from our child's teacher so that she is able to plan her sessions to suit our child. Larraine has tutored our son since 2019, specifically assisting him with Mathematical Methods for 2021/22 and was able to seamlessly transition her expertise to incorporate an online delivery method which meant his learning was not impacted during Covid 19. He has continued to be tutored by Larraine online and this method has complemented his very busy year 12 schedule. Larraine is very knowledgeable and her service even extended to communicating directly with our son's teacher to ensure he was receiving the very best support. We chose LB Tuition for our Year 11 child because of the opportunity to have an experienced and mature tutor, with one-on-one face-to-face tutoring. We were initially reticent about moving to online tutoring due to COVID lockdowns. That said, my child preferred the online approach, and we are very happy with the tutoring that we received.
