A regular haunt for a pre, or post, match feed.The Bat and Ball has a decent menu that has changed over time but has kept some staunch regulars while adding daily specials to keep things interesting.Good for a hearty meal, or a snack, to keep you going.Also, great for a catch up with mates, and watching some sport on their multiple big screens.

I love the atmosphere of this bar. It was very chill and comfortable. The bar is kept really clean as well. Service was great too, super friendly and helpful.We came here to try their Sunday roast. We chose the lamp rump, and overall, it tasted alright. Nothing too special. We also ordered the hot wings. They were quite overly fried, but it was a great nibble to have while having a beer.Would definitely come back to have a drink here and maybe play some pool.

The bar service was good, friendly and efficient. Don't come here for the steak. We had them on a Monday night they were awful--dry, chewy, tasteless and terrible cut of meat. Definitely not cooked medium. Not worth $26 at all. We should have taken that as a sigh that few people were actually eating there at dinner time. We live in the area definitely won't be back for the food.

Nice Aussie pub with choice of beers. Decent food and spacious. Popular with locals as well as those in the area for Moore Park or events. Food is good but not much variety. The bar is well stocked and the crowd attractive.

Great Sunday roast! Big serving, plenty of sauce, Yorkshire pud tastes perfect. Pub music was spot on singalong too. Surprised it wasn’t busier! Get in before news catches on.

Enjoy food overall, just get pissed off with the new staff!September 2015 - 4 stars.July 2016 - I usually love this place, but they had new staff in there the other day with attitude and that were really unhelpful. Hope they usual staff are coming back or we probably won't be! 3 stars.June 2017 - again with the new staff telling us we can't get our usual order mixing mash with salad or veg with chips! At least they are nice and polite about it this time, but still need to leave their mark, is it worth it!?! Even the advert that the staff contradicts is displayed! The kitchen staff are so nice and the owners are great too, so really annoying when I have go into the toilet to take a photo of the offer for tonight so I can quote it to the staff! I love this pub and come even though I've moved out of the area, but come on! Kitchen staff saved the day again! Small things make a difference! 2.5 stars.

Food: 3/5Got the chicken burger which was very nice, with fantastic sauce and coleslaw and crispy fired chicken. The chips however were a let down as while they were crispy, they lacked any salt whatsoever.Service: 2/5Bar service for drinks and ordering was fast. However the wait for food was immensely long, with our entire table waiting roughly 25 mins for some burgers.Atmosphere: 3/5Nicely located next to Moore Park. Classic pub decorations.

Located along busy Cleveland Street this historical pub was our location for dinner before heading down to Hordern Pavillion for the Kip Moore Concert. A couple of cold beverages before some dinner. The food menu was VERY limited but tasted great nonetheless. The barmaid with a lovely Irish accent was pleasant and helpful, however can only rate 3 stars due to the limitation of food options. The interior also appeared quite drab given the options of pubs around the city having some competing and vibrant decor. No photos attached as it really was not worth taking any. Sorry guys.

The food used to be good especially the sunday roast, however after a recent visit I am afraid the standards have plummeted in the kitchen and behind the bar.Not sure what's going on with their taps, but the VB was lifeless and the glasses were dirty.I've also seen better atmosphere at a funeral home.

Standard Aussie old school pub, in the best possible way. Good value simple meals. Nice pork belly roast. Beers on tap including some of the greats (Reschs, VB). They didn't have Foxtel though which is a pretty big miss - couldn't watch the AFL game we wanted. Pretty disappointing for a place called Bat & Ball" and down the street from the SCG!"
