OMG get in my belly! If you've read any of the glowing reviews of H&C, this one is going to be no different. Nestled in Melbourne's far North East in Lilydale, if there was ever a cafe to make the trek to, it's this one.Hutch & Co is that rare trifecta that still serves generously portioned dishes, plated to MasterChef level gorgeousness with each mouthful being a divine experience.Their menu updates every season to join some fixtures but you can't go wrong with anything to be honest. And don't get me started on the coffee. Their house blend is perfectly balanced; we've got three cans sitting around at home.Parking at the front is not too hard to find, but I can't guarantee it'll stay this way. Cat's out of the bag and it will be a good year for Hutch & Co.

Me and my family had a wonderful breakfast at this coffee shop this morning! The egg benedict with pulled ground beef was absolutely delicious and the coffee and hot chocolate were the perfect complement. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, which made for a great start to my day. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasty meal and great service!

Really enjoy the food and coffee here. Great presentation of each dish and restaurant is very comfortable and modern. Was a bit noisy on the last visit and staff could have been more receptive- never came back to ask if we wanted any further drinks

Fantastic, friendly and efficient service at brunch this morning. Despite being very busy, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Great menu (including vegan options), delicious food and great coffee! Will definitely be back!

We tried to dine in when we arrived at 1pm on December 29th but was told they are closing “soon”. They only offer for take away as their kitchen was closing during that time. We checked their operation hours is until 330pm (pls see attached photo). They should have put a sign notifying customers that they are closing early. We had drove from Melbourne city to find out that we couldn’t even dine in. The staff was rather rude as well even it wasn’t busy while we were there. I would avoid this cafe as they tend to pick customers…

This is such a big space and the cafe has so My much potential, however the food is very over priced and the food is way too big of a portion you waste so much food! Our meats where over cooked, eg bacon and chorizo, the halloumi was chewy which was such a shame!

This is a gem hidden in Lilydale. It was well worth the short wait out the front while a table was cleared. Every aspect of this venue was a step above, the service, the drinks and the food. Two of our party had scrambled eggs, and they were an amazingly silky, but firm consistency instead of the sloppy and granular fare normally encountered. The brioche bread used for the Chilli Scramble was a perfect combination. The baked beans and hash browns are very obviously made in house and much more delicious for this fact. The apple pie French toast was as delicious as it was unique, everything was matched perfectly. Even the drinks had unique little twists on the ordinary to make them a standout. If you are in the area, you must make it a priority to enjoy a breakfast here. Better still it is worth travelling to visit.
