Hidden gem free camp. Quiet, Not too busy, very spacious. Pit toilets. Bring your own water. 10 mins off the highway.

Coopernook Forest Camping Ground
Stayed here for a free overnighter in October 2022.The camp grounds were large and well kept, camping on grass.The road in from thw south was fine for our 6.5m Coaster, as we went slowly.The road in from the north was closed.There is a nice short walk loop from the top of the campground.Drop toilets were pretty well maintained, but a bit smelly.Would go back and spend more time if we come this way again.

We hike here in the forest and the campgrounds have always got a variety of visitors staying .There are toilets there, however i am unsure of the showers situation.

Very big, free and beautiful camping ground, we came here on long weekend and it’s so easy to find a space. BBQ works perfectly, but no water, long drop toilet is a bit hard to deal with.

Coopernook Forest Camping Ground
The place is great. I stayed one night in Oct 2022 while travelling on heavy road bike (BMW R 1100 RT). Access is by gravel and unpaved roads, but it's still safe enough on road bike if there was no rain prior to your visit. If you are on ADV/enduro bike, the site is accessible in any weather. Bring your water. (there is a tap on site but the water seems not drinkable).

Beautiful spot to stop for a few days. Located 10-15 mins from the hwy, down a decently maintained dirt road, took it slow in our Toyota coaster. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful little spot. Plenty of space and not far from the highway. Bring mozzie and fly spray as can get a bit intense at night. One of the better free camps I’ve stayed at.

This camping spot is so nice. Had the best sleep ever!!! So well looked after and lots of friendly kookaburras
