The van was old and in a general state of disrepair- it had done over 350,000 km and was clearly falling apart. The blinds kept falling down during transit and didn't block out light on all sides when we slept. The heater didn't work in the back so we were cold. The side doors were too hard to open - I had to get my husband to do it every time and even he struggled (this was a major issue and frankly, unacceptable).There were no rain covers on the windows, so we couldn’t leave them open for air as we slept - it was pouring when we used the vehicle, so the bed and many of our things got wet. The gas canisters for the stove weren't full, so despite having ordered extra, we ran out of gas and weren't able to cook our final meal (we were told we had plenty for a trip of our length). There were no towels despite them supposedly being included. The doona supplied was thin and we would have been cold if we didn't have our own sleeping bags. The tap that was supposed to be our fresh water supply spits out about a tablespoon of water at a time - completely useless. The bowls supplied were tiny and insufficient for soup or anything much else. Storage room was insufficient too, because of the way the van was configured - to make room to sleep you need to remove everything from the back and put it on the front seats, which is a real effort. Then to access your things again the next day you need to put them back into the back where you slept - and to do that you need to first empty the car completely, because the bed only folds away when the front seats are put right forward. All in all it was difficult and inconvenient for our 4 day trip to the bush. We are unlikely to use Jucy again and would not recommend it to others for anything but a very short trip where needs are minimal.

We start with 5 stars, the Car was ready to go: *- full fuel tank, *- clean equipment and gas for cooking. And brought us from Sydney to Cairns.Here why 2stars: unluckily we got an old jucy crib:- the cabinet broke the first day- There was no front blinder and the others were broken, so we couldn't cover the windows completely to sleep.- one backdoor only opened from the outside, the other only from inside- the fridge never really worked (even driving more than 6 hours a day) so we couldn't really store fresh food and always had a lot of wastePlus, in the middle of our trip we crashed with a Kangaroo and the front left side was damaged. Just to summ it up: Contacted jucy and they told us they will send someone the next day, nobody appeared or called us back, we had to call Jucy 7 times in total to get an appointment to mechanic to know where we could continue the trip or stop (took us 4 days). We felt completely helpless the whole time.Finally, the company would charge exaggerated fees for fines (60aud) and tolls (4aud) (+ 2% credit card surcharge). We aren't sure whether we just didn't pay attention when we booked it but we found out when picking up.

TERRIBLE, do not rent with Jucy!This is from far the worst rental experience I have ever had. I am not talking about once but a few times (You know benefit of the doubt).Everything is terrible about Jucy the cars, the service provided, the staff and the « authorised inspectors ».The last experience we had was with a van that we rented for 4 days from Brisbane to Sydney.First of all, when we picked up the van in Brisbane, it was in a very bad condition. The back seats were broken, (you could take them off completely, we have never seen that before) which is totally not acceptable in terms of safety (but we only realised once on the road). Also, the seatbelts were in very bad condition too.Then the van was pretty dirty and stinky. When we let the person in charge of showing us the van, her answer was: I can’t do much and gave us a spray for the smell.The sliding door was also pretty damage and very hard to close.The fridge did not work properly, what a shame when you pay that price for a damage, dirty, stinky and unsafe material. Moreover, we decided to pay for 4 chairs and 1 table. Fortunately, we checked the condition of the material which was not good at all, one of the chair was broken and the table was rambling.To be honest when we complained to the lady in Sydney at the drop off she wasn't surprise coming from Brisbane and even said we don't work the same way unfortunately".But what’s making me furious is that even with photos and videos to prove that the seats where not conform

When we got the car it was great. We got a free upgrade and that was one of the best cars I have rented out. We were picked up from the airport. On our way back to the airport however we had issues. I called BC it was a Sunday to find that the place was closed. Was given instructions on where to leave keys and car which was great. But then we asked about the free shuttle service and then said they don't do that when they are closed. It was something that is promised in the business especially since U could have gotten any other car company that drops off at airport. We were told to find our own way with heaps of luggage and three young children. We asked if we got a taxi if we would be compensated and the answer was no and suggested dropping the car off at the airport which was also a no. The staff member was quite rude actually and said he could leave a note for someone to call us back the next business day so we had to do that. No one called us back!!! This is a business so I dont understand how you can make promises and not fullfill them. I was not told they would be closed or what I could do. Airports are open at all times so that should be considered. I will not be using Jucy again.

Only rental company in Sydney to not have an in-terminal pickup desk… terrible and seems very second rate/cheap compared to established rental companies.The mandatory phone call to the office in order to obtain a shuttle ride to pick up a vehicle is also poor policy. Jucy should have a shuttle continuously running (like Sixt) to pick up passengers and get them to the rental location without the need for a call. These calls can be extremely expensive or difficult to accomplish for international travelers, especially if the connection drops or you get put on hold.Also with respect to the shuttle service, not having an alternative for travelers returning vehicles early in the morning prior to your opening hours other than “call an Uber or taxi, not our problem” is extremely poor customer service.Lastly, I’ve never before in my life received a rental vehicle with even 20% of the scuffs/scratches/dents/rust as the one I picked up today. The photos attached are only a small portion of the damage on the vehicle you gave us. Those things are NOT normal wear and tear and you should take the time to repair your fleet. Many parts of the interior are also not cleaned to the standards I have come to expect when picking up a vehicle from any other rental company. Yes, the car runs just fine, but it looks like it’s barely been cared for and that alone is a perfect representation of how I now view Jucy as a rental company.It’s doubtful that anything besides a free rental would get me to recommend Jucy to anyone I know. Possibly this is only and issue with the Sydney airport branch, but I have my doubts on that as well.

Reading the mixed reviews we were not sure what to expect but turns out our experience was great! The service was fast and excellent at pick up and drop off, the van was clean in good condition. We had some trouble keeping the fridge cold enough but apart from that we really enjoyed our roadtrip :)

We had a fantastic time with our Star Polaris 6 and very much enjoyed the adventure that we had with it!Small issues with the hire were:- The Battery didn't last longer than 1 shower when we stopped for the night.- The fridge didn't function properly on gas. It detected the gas but didn't stay cold and showed a red label with an error 52" on it. However when plugged in to 240v it functioned correctly.- The water hose to fill up the water tank worked fine but when arriving at our caravan park we realised it did not have any of the fittings required to hook it up with the park's tap. When we returned the Campervan we were informed that they do not provide these fittings. So if you plan to take one of these to a Caravan Park

This company is a joke. If I could give them a zero I would love to do it.We rented a van for two weeks and both windows were not working. We called them a thousand times and their answer was “there is no repair, you need to wait until Monday”. I drove on a motorway and slept with the window down for one night. NO WINDOW. The fridge and the usb connection weren’t working also. After 11 days with no windows, no fridge and no usb connection, the penthouse broke as well so we called them and they changed the van. AFTER 11 DAYS and the only thing that they are offering us is paying for one camping night. YOU ARE A JOKE! Horrible company. If you were the last rent company in Australia I would prefer to rent a horse to travel.

Collected from airport promptly.. Shown round the van at pickup by friendly staff. Jucy Coaster was a great choice for my month long trip. Drop off was relaxed and straightforward. Taken to airport quickly! Great experience will deffo be using Jucy again on my next trip!
