H&R Block

I went to the H&R block on Glenferrie rd before i was going away for a one week holiday, we worked out i had a substantial claim. I hadn't been working so after the trip i was in need of the money. They told me they would send me the document while i was away to sign. I got back and still hadn't received the document. So i emailed them asking about the claim, they then said they forgot to send it. I then received the document 3 days later and signed. after a week and a half i wanted to check the process of the claim online, there was still nothing submitted. I then had to ask them why they haven't submitted my claim their response was its been been delayed by a week due to high demand" (in other words it wasn't their high priority and we forgot again). $150 and a month later they finally did their job. Won't be going back and wont be recommending these guys at all!!!"

This time of year always reminds me of the worst customer service experience of my life. I'm a freelance illustrator and, I'll admit, not so great with numbers. I wanted to get my tax return done by someone that could maybe help explain things to me a little, now I had my own ABN. I excitedly booked in at H&R block Glenferrie Rd, and dutifully took all of my receipts on the day, willing and open to any advice given to me. Instead I got ridiculed, embarrassed and berated. I was laughed at thinking my illustration business was anything worth claiming on. I was told off because I didn't have an excel spreadsheet with profits and losses. Eyes were rolled at me. I was after advice on this, and I left $150 down and nearly in tears. Maybe the same tax agent isn't there anymore, but I just wanted to write this review to warn people in my situation to enter with care.

Absolutely recommend using the services of H&R Block. Seamless process, amazing customer support and overall a smooth experience.

Avoid HR Block Malvern and Shane in particular as much as you can, went recently and had a horrible experience. If you dare to complain or give feedback when asked, Shane will email you telling you its your fault, Go to any other office or tax consultant

If you have a salary and a sole trader income avoid these people.Went to get help as I was being audited by the ATO due to a larger.Spoke to the consultant about exactly what the ATO was requesting, even showing a letter.Consultant then proceeded to say that it was incorrect and they were after something different, which they were not.If I had of listened to this consultant I would have missed out on a large return.
