Great country pub, beautiful meals, well priced, friendly staff.Do yourself a favour and call in and enjoy country hospitality at its finest.

Golden Spurs Hotel
I've written a review of this pub before and it was deservedly scathing. 12 months and covid 19 on we've got a great place to be. These guys have put blood sweat and tears into the place and WOW do we have a winner. GREAT food and plenty of it in the old fashion country way, GREAT staff and an even better atmosphere. They've brought something special to Proston and to all who come here. Thanks for coming here guys. Come on down you won't be disapointed. We'd love to have you.

Very friendly helpful owner Denise, she's great. Have a drink there, friendly country pub, well priced.Rooms are clean and very basicYou need to be up early to get breakfast it was over by 8.30, but Emma's Cafe across the road was a great optionLocated in the heart of town

Lovely genuine owners who can't do enough for you. Rooms are nice and clean, the master room something else! Great atmosphere, locals are good for a chat. Bar prices cheaper than metropolitan prices.Come-on bikers we need to support this hotel, you won't regret it...

Absolutely fabulous. Enjoyed the ride around town on the truck and the roast pig. Amazing memories. Such a rich tapestry of Joh Bjelke-Petersen. He really looked after this region. Damn his soul.

New Owners very friendly, we were shown the rooms they have been refreshed and every room has new air conditioning they are still in a process of renovating some rooms. Bed was very comfortable, meals are excellent the chips are the best I have ever had, made fresh, good size meal, great music nice cold beer great atmosphere highly recommend good family run pub.And dog friendly.

Golden Spurs Hotel
While staying at Boondooma Dam over the Australia Day weekend I saw the courtesy bus driving through the park. The two young fellas stopped to talk with us about coming to the pub. They were very helpful and friendly. We asked the staff at the kiosk to call for the courtesy bus to pick us up. He arrived at the time requested. He was friendly and approachable. We had a delicious roast lunch and then when we were ready he took us back to the camp. Really great service to offer so no one has to drive and everyone has a great time. Will be back again.
