Counter lunches in Australian pubs are very underrated. They're a bit old fashioned, typically product from the area, reasonably priced and often just basic meals. In another setting these meals might be called street food. I had crumbed lamb cutlets with veg and mash and it was delightful. Creamy, yellow potato, perfectly cooked, delightful and tasty beans, peas, corn, cauliflower and broccolini - all to die for - and accompanied by beautiful lamb cutlets. Servings were not huge but very adequate. It us ordered at the bar and the young woman who served me went out of her way to be helpful. Well worth the visit.

The beers were cold. Service with a smile. Class courtyard, with a charm of old English.

We booked the family room with ensuite because I didn’t want to share bathroom facilities. Arrive and they told us that they double booked so we had no choice but to stay in the family room with no bathroom. Had to use shared bathroom facilities. One women’s shower compare to 2 men’s showers. Not enough toilets. Very very loud at night. Good food. Reasonably priced however the location needs a major revamp as it is very dingy.

Really enjoyed our stay . Room was warm , bed was comfy. Bathroom Reno’s are excellent but still a work in progress. Meals were quite expensive but geez they were good. The mixed grill beat me and that takes some doing . Staff were welcoming , efficient and pleasant. Would happily stay again

Meals were nice and rinks cold, however, waiting 1 hour for a mixed grill and a chicken parmigiana was not so great

We stayed two nights and the first night was fine, what you expect. Second was terrible. They had construction going from about 7:30am (hammers and power tools) and the workers loudly talking and making calls right outside our door from 6:30am. The construction was for the rooms DIRECTLY across and beside ours.It was also right outside the female bathroom. The female bathroom that is simply one shower and toilet in a room so no other options but to have your comings and goings watched by the men.I emailed the property about this before leaving a review to give them a chance and they haven't brother to reply.They obviously don't care about guests.

Beautiful old Aussie pub.The beer and service was excellent.Reading the reviews we thought we were in for a real treat with the steak, however food took 1.5hrs to come out and the steaks had that bland “been frozen” for a while taste to them.Our garlic bread was forgotten, which they gave us our money back for but we had starving kids from a day of riding and still had some kms to do so not the experience we were hoping for.By looks of reviews it must of been a off night. Will give it another go though.

After not eating all day, ordered dinner for myself and my partner I ordered scotch fillet steak with mash and veg. Waited over 1hr 40minutes we ordered at about 5:45 -6pm as they were taking orders. Had to ask if they had forgotten our meals then about 15 minutes later we receive our meals my medium well done steak was so raw (blue steak) it made me sick to my stomach and turned me off food the night my partners porterhouse was over cooked and overall a bad experience enough to make me never want to go eat or drink at this establishment. Staff are rude bad attitude, just overall bad vibes and bad service. Ending up leaving the pub to order a burger from nersons next door 10 minutes and I’m full wow, what a waste of a pub!

Was on a solo bike ride from Wollongong. I thought I'd give the Royal Mail a try. It was well worth it !!!The rooms were basic but clean and pretty cheap. It was a shared toilet/shower which was clean. The food was good and the beer cold. The service was excellent. I'd recommend this place if you were passing through.

Food is over priced, ONE staff member was great and helpful.Rooms are small, had to make the bed ourselves after staff messed up the booking, still had to pay full price and not even a complimentary drink for making the room up. Doesn't look like the carpet has been cleaned properly since it was installed.
