Have been attending this vet for years with MANY different animals. They are very compassionate, knowledgeable and reliable, words cannot express my love for this vet and those associated with it.

My dog has a skin condition. I have been told by a vet online who asked me about the symptoms and that vet said I need a skin scraping to see if there are bugs on the skin irritating it. I took my dog to the exeter animal hospital (strange name when they dont have facilities for your animal to stay there like any other hospital) The vet who apparently owns this facility told me she didn't have time to do a skin scraping and it was just an allergy anyway (not that she took a skin scraping or a blood sample) so this so called university trained vetinary surgeon has done NO scientific investigation into my dogs condition which I have tried all sorts of creams etc to fix so this apparent expert gives my dog a steroid injection which is dangerous for dogs (from the other vet I saw when i lived in town) apparently steroids work well for cats but can cause all sorts of issues for dogs. So why were no tests done either by blood or skin tests. What did she base her diagnosis on. A feeling perhaps or previous experience you say... this is what I thought untill she said she has never seen the issues my dog has with his skin. So she has never seen it before doesn't know whats causing it and rather than look it up in a book or even google fof crying out loud she says I have no idea whats causing your dogs issues so rather than looking it up or asking another vet or doing tests scientifically she just gives my dog a dangerous drug known to cause issues for the dog and says he will be fine bring him back if it gets worse. Tell me exactly why I would take my precious fur baby to this quack who does no scientific investigation or cares about my animal enough to do some research. Why clown why oh why would I ever put my precious friend through dangerous treatment for no result or knowledge based medicine or appropriate care at all. I have to wonder if this woman remembers or even studied the subject matter at university where she got her so called qualifications. I just dont know who to go to about malpractice by vets. I know where to go for human doctors but no idea for vets. I wish i knew because this idiot would be disciplined for sure. What did I pay $100 for. A guess and a maybe. I would rather have to spend $500 and get someone who doesn't say they don't have time to do a test. I want all the tests that can be done to be done. My dog is closer to me than family I want the very best for him

I gave the Animal Hospital a second chance because the Vet was lovely. Shame about her rude, slow and unwelcoming reception staff. After we waited an HOUR with 2 people seen before us who openly said their appointment time was later than ours I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Have visited twice - on recent visit there animal poop walked across the floor - no attempt by staff had been made to clean it up - not the most well presented of vet clinics - but the Vet obviously loves animals and is very thorough - so I guess this counts for more than the ambience.
