Commercial Hotel
Although we had little contact with Des and did not see Les at all we had a wonderful stay at this authentic and charming hotel.We were transported back in time, highly recommend the experience.

I love this place. Les, Des and Terry are awesome and all went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The hotel is within an easy walking distance from everything you need - groceries, laundry, and local shops. I also loved having the opportunity to attend musical and community events while I stayed at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and intend to return to Terang at the earliest opportunity as the town's community itself is warm and welcoming. Thank you to everyone at the Commercial Hotel and Terang for welcoming me and making me feel at home for two months in June and July!

The Initiatives taking place at this hotel are a credit to the owners. We had an enjoyable and interesting night there tonight. An exhibition by Artist Jane Thompson was a delight with bold colours jumping off the walls to create an atmosphere of warmth and gaiety. The platters were a treat and the friendly hotel staff enabled an appreciation of the value the owners are contributing to the community. The Hotel takes no fee-returns full sale price to the Artists. Jane’s exhibition continues until the 8th December and gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday 1 to 4 pm and is well worth a visit. A photographic exhibition was also of interest and the Musical attraction was booked out thereby providing a good return for the musicians. This Hotel is a place to watch – there are very interesting plans in the pipeline.

We went to Commercial Hotel / Boutique Home Hotel in Terang with group of 30 friends. During our stay, rooms, kitchen and around hotel was clean, comfortable, and most importantly staff was amazing.Hotel provides couple of outdoor seating area with nice, cute garden. Also, Hotel provide local pub area where we could meet lovely and friendly locals.Most amazing thing we have experienced is using Lounge / Ball Room, especially during new year. It provides Projector, With Full home theater music system and stage for live performances.There are nice and tasty food restaurant choices.Overall, Les was very supportive for our requirement which varied from babies to our parents.I would defiantly recommend visiting Historical Heritage property stay.Thank you Les for wonderful experience and much appreciated.

Quite upset about the whole situation. We had booked 6 months in advance only to be told the week of that he had given our rooms to another booking because he forgot to block out the time on AirBnB. We got completely messed around resulting in our group being split up between 4 different venues to sleep. He kept trying to put blame on us even thiugh it was his disorganisation and lack of business skills that was the issue.Furthermore, it wasn't only that we were spread across different venues (2 were local's homes, as he apparently has done this before and previously stuffed up bookings). He also didn't have enough beds and so I was on a very uncomfortable blow up mattress which resulted in zero sleep. Not what I wanted after booking so early to ensure beds.The lack of tact and the fact that he wasn't willing to front up to the other group and move them into the various buildings as they booked much later than us made the trip not enjoyable at all. Watch out when booking with Les.

The best decision we made was to book our New Years stay here and we enjoyed our 4 day stay. Can't fault a single thing here. Great service, great location, clean and tidy rooms. Have already planned our next holiday here again. Thank you Les for making our new year celebration memorable.

A collection of rooms in their public area, each decorated in an eclectic, quirky, boho style designed for comfortable conversations and gatherings. My stay overlapped with live theatre in the round in their performance space. Six musicians in a circle, performing and storytelling in the folk and country music genre. Highlights were Abby Dobson (ex-Leonardo's Bride), Freya Josephine Hollick and local gal Geraldine Ewing. Stay tuned. More music performances to come. Upstairs there's a floor of accommodation, with tall ceiling rooms in a variety of configurations for one or two guests, and shared bathrooms. I joined their creative hub to complete a movie trailer project accessing the multi-media talents of musician, singer songwriter Jim William's talents. Their kitchen, dining and upstairs lounge areas are all available to guests. A country home away from home.

Clean and comfortable bedding. Beautiful art deco rooms. Amazing meals, especially breakfast! An interesting selection of entertainment in the theatre within the hotel where there are trivia nights, movie nights, poetry nights, live music and so much more.Great bar service and selection of drinks.The owners of the hotel (Les & Les) really went above and beyond to accommodate our large group that booked out the hotel for the weekend for our club. We will absolutely be back again as we really enjoyed staying at the Commercial Hotel. Keep up the amazing work team! Thank you from the Geelong Ulysses Club.

Best customer service you could ask for. We had an extremely late check in but was greeted with a smile.The country hospitality shown through with good food and good conversation.Would recommend and will definitely be coming back when in town.Thankyou Les
