Canberra Walk in Aviary
My kids along with me enjoyed the visit. Lots of colourful birds… a delight to the eyes and the staff were so pleasant in greeting. A must visit for every family in australia.

My kids favourite spot, much more than a Zoo. Well worth a visit if you are in Canberra. Lot's of beautiful birds and chickens there.

A fantastic place to spend 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to feed the birds. The venue is relatively small, and you're provided with some fruit and bird feed (including small worms) to feed the birds. The birds are relatively tame, presumably after lots of visitors, and will happily nibble at fruit or feed from your hands. Great for young children and there's quite an array of different birds within the aviary.

Small place for young kids to run about. The birds were very friendly and my 2 and 5 year old had a blast. Would spend just over half an hour here unless you really like birds.

A great experience with the kids and worth the visit. We came here on an adventure pass and to be honest, would not have thought to have visited unless it was for the pass, as $17 per adult seems a bit rich. However, in entry we were all given pieces of apple and live worms to feed the birds. That was great to feed them and the kids enjoyed it, but got bored really quickly.

Budget friendly, amazing experience. Be patient, let the birds get used to you and soon they will be sitting on your arms and shoulders. Our children were mesmerised. Would definitely recommend this place.

Located in Nicholls at about 45 minutes away from Canberra city interchange. A small aviary with a large collection of parrots parakeets lorikeets. A treat for kids and bird-lovers. There is an entry fee of $17 for adults. Each entrant is provided with fruit slices and a bowl of worms to feed the birds. The aviary is small but has ample birds to keep yourself engaged for an hour. Worth visiting if you are a bird lover.

After reading other reviews we were prepared for the aviary to be small and to take it slow. In the end my young kids and I spent an hour feeding various birds and they really enjoyed it. We had a Golden Creek adventure pass" so it was much more affordable. Otherwise you are looking at around $50 for a family pass at the time of our visit. Very accessible for prams/wheelchairs. Loads of free parking available. Surrounded by nearby cafes."
