Service was as it should be, atmosphere was great but very quiet, food was much less than expected. Fish of the day was Birds Eye frozen flathead with cold chips, lamb shanks turned out to be one shank luke-warm with undercooked carrots, seafood chowder I wouldn’t feed my dog, sweet corn based chowder with 6 pieces of tinned salmon for decoration for $19.

Both me and my partner had to send our food back, my pizza was soggy and the dough was partially raw, and my partners squid was completely undercooked. Couldn’t fault the service from Lilly though who was extremely apologetic and replaced our meals for us, free of charge with a drink on the house. Great service, beautiful location, pity about the food.

I'm sorry but the service was terrible, not only did we have to wait for just over 50mins for two meals to come out and then ask twice for a child's ice-cream to be delivered 30 mins after asking the first time.The meals themselves were actually filling and tasteful.

Value, service and quality! Good food, with generous servings at a reasonable price. Friendly staff that were attentive and caring. The Wine selection is great and a few cheeky cocktails to top off a great meal. Options and games for the kids as well. Well situated and appointed for all year, any weather dining.

I am not one to write reviews generally, but thought i would share the poor service we received on Mothers Day.Firstly, the initial service we received from Derek was terrible. He was rude and condescending and to be honest i was quite taken back.We booked a table for 17 people (16 of those were booked for a shared menu (11 adults and 5 children), however two members were unable to attend due to being unwell. We were initially told that it was ok, to be later to be told by Derek that we would have to pay for the two individuals that weren't able to attend, however they could offer a 50% reduction, which we accepted.It is important to note that we were not advised that should a person(s) not be able to attend that we would be charged which we feel is crucial information to supply at the initial booking.Our booking was for 12pm and the first course (Garlic Bread Pizza) arrived at approximately 1:20pm. A total of 12 pieces to feed 16 people (14 people minus the two not in attendance)Second course arrived at approximately 2pm which consisted of a charcuterie board (10 small slices of bread) and maybe 15-20 small pieces of cold meats)At this point we questioned the amount and were told that as 5 children were participating that the shared menu would be reduced, which we understood, however there was not enough food to feed every paying individual.Due to the poor experience (customer service, wait times, portions of food) we advised we would be leaving. We paid for our drinks and the garlic bread pizza which we consumed)Derek finalized the transaction and continued to be completely arrogant throughout it.I work in customer service and i am absolutely appaled at the service received and will not be returning

I expected and wanted more out of this place - large venue with booths, generous seating and a central fireplaceYet was very empty during a weekend visit, food was good but menu was limited. Not as many pub classics as expected.Considering the percentage of tables that were booked (read:quiet), we waited an enormous amount of time to get served - well over an hour for table of 4 with just one meal each, no frills and ordered drinks at the bar.Maybe this is why they're not popular? On paper they should be!

A pretty decent experience in a stunning atmosphere.Myself and a group of 6 attended on a Saturday night for dinner. The service was pretty good and drinks came out promptly. However, there was significant waiting time for food to be served at our table. Kitchen looked rather understaffed and the venue was only 30% full.The chicken parmigiana looked a little sad, but good portion sizing. The steak sandwich was quite good, great flavour on the steak, however the chips were cold.Overall the venue is very visually appealing, however the wait times and food could be improved.I would probably return if in the area.

Had dinner which was probably one of my worst dinner experiences in a long time. Ordered Seafood Chowder. Didn’t receive the bread that came with it. Advised the wait staff however didn’t receive any feedback or bread. I would rate the seafood chowder on par of a can of corn soup. The chicken pizza base was also not cooked through and raw. After the non response from the soup we didn’t bother commenting and didn’t finish the pizza. When paying we asked about not receiving the bread for the meal and received a $2 discount but ZERO apology and didn’t even tell us about the discount amount until we asked. I didn’t feel the discount given was acceptable for the disappointment for having to ask, then wait for the bread which resulted in cold soup but the kicker was to NEVER receive the bread even though we let them know. An apology when paying would have gone a long way however that was never received. I didn’t feel we were the only unhappy couple during the night and definitely would never return or recommend dining there.

Really wish I had of read the reviews before booking. Customer service was awful, our chicken entree came out beyond raw and the ‘scotch filets’ appeared to be poor quality cuts of rump steak. Out of the 15 other people I had invited to my dinner not a single person was impressed with the service or quality of food.
