Olivia did my hair today and safe to say, I’m in love! She was lovely and extremely knowledgeable about styling and hair colours! I would recommend this place to anyone that asks. She made it super affordable too, and kept me updated on everything she was doing :) thanks Olivia! Got a lovely head massage from one of the girls there too, but unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. She was super sweet, I loved having a little chat with her.

Been here before and it was fine but yesterday was terrible. Firstly , she starting mixing a hair colour for me without even asking what I wanted. Then she ignored how I wanted my hair cut as she knew better". She butched my hair!!! I asked for a minimal cut as my wedding is in 10 days and she chopped hair off all over the place. Asked me to pay before I was even finished!!"

I feel compelled to share my ordeal to caution others from going through the same nightmare.I had been a loyal customer at this salon for over a year, always getting my hair done by the talented stylist, Rebecca. However, on this unfortunate day, Rebecca was unavailable, and the salon was understaffed. To my disbelief, they decided to assign an apprentice hairdresser, who was clearly inexperienced and not even in her second year on the job, to attend to me. It was explicitly stated in her job description that she was only responsible for menial tasks such as cleaning floor surfaces and handling shampoo, conditioner, and treatments.Against all reason and logic, this apprentice took it upon herself to cut my hair. The consequences were disastrous. She created a bald patch at the back of my head and on the side, leaving me utterly horrified. As if that wasn't enough, she continued to shave the back of my head, causing even more damage. I was left in a state of complete shock and despair.The trauma I experienced in the salon was so intense that it triggered a panic attack right then and there. The incompetence and recklessness of the apprentice, combined with the salon's lack of proper supervision and adherence to job responsibilities, resulted in a distressing and humiliating situation that I would never wish upon anyone.In a desperate attempt to rectify the damage caused, one of the bosses had to intervene and salvage what was left of my hair. Although they offered me a free haircut and tried their best to fix the catastrophe, the emotional and psychological distress I endured cannot be undone.I want to emphasize that this horrific incident should have never occurred in the first place. The apprentice had no business touching clients' hair, and the salon's negligence in allowing such an inexperienced individual to handle customers' hair is utterly unacceptable. Even the boss acknowledged that it was not within the apprentice's job description to perform haircuts.I strongly advise against anyone considering Mode Hair Design in Mount Gravatt Plaza. The disregard for their customers' well-being and the lack of professionalism exhibited by the salon is appalling. I urge potential clients to exercise caution and find a salon with competent and experienced stylists who prioritize the satisfaction and safety of their clients.This experience has left me deeply scarred and I implore the management of Mode Hair Design to address this issue seriously and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

Got a haircut from BeBe today, and I’m very happy with the results. All round great service!

Mode is a wonderful salon. Did not disappoint. The staff are lovely and the environment is fresh and relaxed.Elia is definitely a go-to hairdresser if you have thick, long hair that doesn’t like to behave.Beautiful hair result. Thank you again Elia.Highly recommended.

I went this morning and got my hair done, the lady that cut and styled my hair was Mel. She did such an awesome job. I normally go to a barber but have been unhappy with the cuts, they never listen to me and cut it unevenly,so I was hesitant in using a hairdresser but I'm actually impressed, Mel has done an amazing job. Thank you so much, I will come back to her to do my hair from now on. Highly recommended

I had a dodgy haircut from local hairdresser. Jo cut and reshaped my hair so it was easy to manage while growing out. Jo is the loveliest hairdresser i have met. She listened and is genuine. I will be a regular client now. Thanks Jo from the bottom of my hear. Everyone loves my haircutxx
