Really they're just interested in your money and fulfilling their franchise requirements with little concern for customer service or providing a quality reasonably priced service. Find an independent service instead a faceless corporate excuse for an business.

Con is a really good accountant, I've been going here for years now. Con really knows his stuff, and is very honest about what I can a can't claim. Con always ask lots of questions about my accounts, so it it's all above board. Great working with you Con.

As a local i was looking for a local accountant. Stupid old fart was arrogant and rude! Didn't want to make an appointment to consult me and provided no service what so ever! I feel sorry for the receptionist as she was friendly. I highly recommend to avoid this place.

I went to get my taxes done last year. I wish I would've stayed home and figured out how to do it myself. I don't remember who I spoke to but he didn't seem to know anything, he basically asked me at every other question what he should fill in.. I mean if I knew I'd be at home doing it myself and saving me a couple hundred bucks! Spelled my name wrong on multiple occasions and even spelled my bank account number wrong on the final print out. Was told I'd be getting some money back according to the estimate, but turned out I still owed the ATO $1100. I spent nine months afterwards figuring out with the ATO what I actually owed and to sort it out. If you are here on a visa, don't get your taxes done here because they were not up to date on the rules regarding different visas.

They told me that their fee would be taken out of my tax return. Received my tax return and months later they called and said I owed over $300 because they had forgotten to take the fee out. When I said that I couldn't pay immediately and wanted to go on a payment plan they said no worries. Months later, without hearing a word from them I get a letter from a debt collector. What the hell.

I normally do my return myself but it was a bit complicated this time so went to a professional. Complete waste of time and money. I had to hold his hand through everything and anything slightly difficult he complained that my case was taking too much time and he had other customers that needed work as well. It was a simple google search as the ATO had a calculator on their website but I had to look it up and email it to him. In the end I accidentally paid the fee twice and it was like pulling teeth to get a refund. Took them 2 months to give me my money back.

I have used H&R Block Northcote for the past 3 years to complete my annual tax return, and they have been fine, but this year was extremely disappointing.I paid several hundred dollars for the lodgement of both my partner and I's return - only for them to take >3 weeks to lodge them. My returns are not complex. If I knew it would have taken this long, I would have done it myself.My main complaint is that my consultant was rude and made rubbish excuses for why they were late. We had to make over 5 calls to follow up, and when it was finally lodged - there was zero apology. Terrible communication and unprofessional.I won't be using them again next year.

Vito was really professional and was able to answer all of my questions. Anything out of the ordinary, he was able to look up and then let me know. This really spoke volumes about his professionalism and wanting to get a good result for me. I am really happy that I tried H&R block Northcote and would definitely be using Vito again.
