I got facial with the additional cocoa face mask, and it was so worth it! It was my first one in a few years and Alex did an amazing job making me welcome and relaxed to the point I even fell asleep! I couldn’t recommend Alex and My Beauty Shoppe enough:)

Finally, a place where getting my nails done feels like a short vacation. It’s a cosy Studio with relaxing music and privacy to relax. Sylvia is so lovely a did a fantastic job I will be back for sure.

I had a great experience in My Beauty Shoppe last monday! I booked a Glow Hydrating Facial with Alex and Brow Lamination with Sylvia and both were very kind, professional and careful. The facial was very relaxing and when we finish my skin was really glowing. Although I don´t have too much hair in my brows they managed to reach very good results with the lamination without tinting them `cause I didn´t want to do it. I’ll definitely be back.

I do NOT recommend My Beauty Shoppe COMO and Anne in particular, who works for the new owner.Anne’s services are extremely sub-standard, she requires training, and to know it is okay to be quiet not talk in appointments and not to ask personal private questions.My first appt was 14/11/2019 with Bec, who was always friendly, welcoming, did outstanding high-quality work – beautiful gel nails, queen of eyebrows, all waxing, it was always a lovely experience.Sadly, Bec left so I was booked in with Anne 16/07/2021. It was the most uncomfortable, intrusive, interrogation, and Anne damaged my nails as clearly didn’t know how to use the drill nor did she soak off the gel but drilled right down into my nails until it burned causing me to flinch.My next appt 3/08/2021 was with the owner Nina, and I continued to book in with Nina until 15/12/2022, when she stopped working due to her 2nd pregnancy and relocating to Croatia with her family.Another appt 6/01/2023 with Anne, based on Nina’s recommendation. Again, intrusive personal questions, but shockingly, Anne hadn’t changed the way she did gel nails as instructed by Nina. Anne does NOT soak off gel polish at all, used the drill and left a lot of the old lumpy bumpy polish, then blamed the new polish and lamp for the lumpy uneven results. Anne complained about not liking to do nails, was not happy most of Nina’s clients were nails, table wasn’t right, UV lamp didn’t work properly, something wrong with polishes, but at no point did she see what she was doing was not right, nothing wrong with the tools and products. I came in with my nails perfectly filed just the way I like them, so it was only a matter of removing the old polish and reapplying the new.The next day 7/01/2023 I was booked in with Anne for makeup. I SMS’d a photo as requested 6/01/2023, a simple bronze smokey eye. What I got was not at all what we talked about or anything like the photo. During application Anne made comments about Nina not having glittery eyeshadow, right tools and so on. When I looked in the mirror I immediately welled up in tears, was shocked and upset. Eyeshadow was x3 different pinks, zero glitter, dark sharp hard edges, no blending at all. Anne tried to calm it down but it didn’t work. When I look in the mirror again, I became even more upset noticing my eyebrows not coloured in, no eyeliner, no definition along the top lash line, but there was a lot of burgundy eyeshadow below the lower lash line. At no point did I raise my voice or speak in a belittling or disrespectful manner, I was so upset could only manage some words, which was to say that I’d need to fix it myself, asked for makeup remover, cotton buds, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and brushes. Anne continued to put away everything, while I was trying to fix my face, as I was changing at the salon going directly to the church as limited for time. While I was trying to fix my face, Anne kept pushing to fix my nails. I had 30 minutes to fix my face and be at the wedding, I was visibly upset, it was not the time. Once Anne finished tidying up, she hid in the back at the basin to avoid me. I did the best I could with what little Anne made available to me. I asked Anne to help zip me up, at which point she said would speak to Nina and I would not be charged. At the wedding I had x4 individuals comment on me looking different not a compliment, asking if I was okay. After the church I drove to the David Jones MAC counter, who removed everything and started again, gave me exactly the same look as in the photo, costing me more.I sent Nina a message 9/01/2023 and asked her to call me. She replied asking if I had taken a photo. I called as believed it would be easier to talk through what happened. Nina told me it was my word against Anne’s, her version was different to mine. No apology!To date I am still waiting on my refunds which I followed up twice, it is not about the monetary value, it is about the principle.NOTE: the intention of this review is for others to avoid a sub-standard service and stressful upsetting experience.

My first time at The Beauty Shoppe and it was great. I had a wax with Sylvia who was lovely, friendly and very good at what she does. Good prices and I found out it is under new management so lots of new services coming on board. Will definitely come back again.
