Virgin Australia Lounge

Great experience and offerings. Whilst other airport lounges have been closed (Darwin) or reduced its selection, GC virgin lounge has improved. Great breakfast, lunch and Dinner menu. Good views. Good seating. Not huge, though not all seats were not full.

Great tarmac views, private and quiet space, reasonable food selection. While not yet being upgraded to the new livery experienced in Melb/Adelaide, this lounge at GC ticks all the required boxes if you are a frequent flyer. The last time I passed through here was for the last flight out to Melbourne - enjoyed the tortellini and pumpkin soup for supper. At this time the lounge was nearly empty so it was very quiet and plenty of seating available.

Worst of worst experience with this Virgin airlines. Actually my flight has 3:55PM and i checked in before 24 hours at home & I came to the Gold Coast airport bagging area 3:20PM their was 5 minutes time remaining, once I went to the checkin bag place they had told me it’s closed. I tried to find the staff members at 3:20PM but no one was there to help me at the help desk. I asked the reasons why it was happened after that but they haven’t told me anything. What’s wrong I spent lot of money on that, even I didn’t get proper response from them. What kind of airlines is it.

Despite being on the smaller side, there were surprisingly decent food options available. Staff were friendly and attentive. Some of the seating was a bit cramped - over-stuffed with tables. But the views are great and we had an enjoyable, comfortable visit.

The entrance to the lounge is near gate 19.Not a huge lounge but there is plenty of seating with both lounge and cafe style seating, in high and low seat types. There are also several seating areas with plenty of USB and power outlets available. The lounge also offers a good view of the apron and runway for plane spotters.The staff are extra friendly and helpful. There is a modest food offering which changes through the day and plenty of drink options. The barista on duty was excellent.Wheelchair access is good with a lift available to reach the lounge proper from the Virgin lounge foyer. Some of the spaces between seating are a little tight but there are plenty of seating options with easy access.There are men's, ladies and disabled toilets a well as a separate baby change room available.Enjoy

A quieter place than the main terminal which echos. Basic facilities for the entry price if you don't fly silver or above. The snacks are limited but very tasty. Soups sandwiches cheese and cookies. A nice selection of beers and wines. Tea and coffee a available.If not a lounge member you are linited to 2hour only.

Excellent space for a regional lounge.Compares brilliantly against the other National locations in major cities.Never overcrowded.Cleaned and managed so well.Always serviced with good staff.Catering is same nationally of course, but the care taken for things to be presented well and stocked high, makes a great experience for customers & in our case, bringing our son and team members of the business when we’re travelling doubles for excellent meetings as well!
