Cedar Lodge Cabins

Cedar Lodge is perfect for a stopover for pet owners. Once a beautiful retreat but is now run down and in need of repair . It was clean apart from the carpet and all we needed . I probably wouldn't stay again as the cabins are too close together and there were no views from the cabin, leaving you feeling closed in. It has good air con and heating and an area for families out the back. It was a shame that other pet owners were lacking respect and allowing large dogs to roam without a lead day or night. It took me to speak up on two occassions to confront the pet owner next door, first to contain the dog as my small dog was too frightened to go out for a wee. I appreciate having the pet friendly option and hope this brings some awareness for others and the manager.

Great cabin for a couple or a small family and a pet. Location is excellent - next to a gas station with basic needs you can buy from there. 6 km drive to Blackheath if you want to dine or have a take away. Cabin has a beautiful view of the mountains with the sight of incoming rain and fog. The cabin itself has everything that you need except for the brush, toothpaste, body wash, cooking oil and additional toilet rolls that you have to bring.

We stayed in the spa cabin and it was absolutely brilliant.The view from our window was breathtaking.The spa bath was amazing.The bed was massive.Double shower.Air-conditioned with a new system that was really nice.The cinema/games room was really nice with a pool table and an extra side room with a keyboard and games station.It was a little gem and I will definitely be going back.

After travelling in our van in unusually cold weather for the area this time of the year, we felt we needed to stay in a warm place with a hot shower where we could bring our dog. We found Cedar lodge and from the start we were welcomed with a positive experience, given an early check in as our cabin was unoccupied. The owners are lovely people. Our cabin was surprisingly spotless, not a single dog hair! There’s everything you need to cook, you just need to bring your own food. We had the longest sleep since starting our trip which we really needed. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a pet friendly accomodation in this area. Also a great garden at the back to give them a stretch. Keep them on lead as there is a lot of birds and wildlife. I read from other reviews that the interior is outdated and so on, but honestly, for what you are paying compared to other places, it exceeded our expectations. If you want some fashionable interior design, get a 5 star hotel and pay 4 times the price.

Beautiful spot! Cute cabin with plenty of space for my partner and myself. Very comfortable place to stay with a lot of activities. There is heaps of fun for families, couples and friends in the Kookaburra Room

Nice clean rooms but a bit small for us five, excellent function room, enjoyed our stay!

So, this property ruined our weekend! They told me that there is an error with Booking.com as they did not receive nor any details about my reservation! They’re fully booked hence they can’t help me! But as per talking to Booking.com agent, the property made a mistake and cancelled my reservation! My family was supposed to go away for the weekend to celebrate a birthday! The kids have been looking forward for this trip and only to find out on check in day that we have no reservation! No one can even tell us what is really happening! Now, we’re left but nothing because of this inconvenience caused by this property! Very unprofessional and irresponsible! We made this booking weeks ago! Got a confirmation email and nothing! Just ruin our family trip!

Cosy and comfortable little cottage suitable for our kids and dog for a one night stay. Exceeded my expectations and although in places the decor is a tad dated, everything worked and was comfortable. Beautiful surrounding gardens and some great touches like biscuit and extra towels and bedding in the cabin. Well equipped for self catering if needed.

Great hosts in booking process. Room was warmed prior to our arrival, let us know room was ready. Excellent spa room with View and full facilities in cabin.

Very basic but clean and peaceful. Bed was really comfortable and warm.
