Petals On The Plaza

Really happy with my experience with Petals on the Plaza! I accidentally ordered 2 cards online and Trudy emailed me to see if I would like her to make up the value with flowers. Really fast response times with emails and my order was delivered on time. My sister absolutely loved what she received and told me that the flowers are gorgeous. Thank you guys for the awesome work!

About 5 months ago I got a quote and booked in this florist for my wedding in 3 weeks time. I had paid the deposit in October last year and had everything sorted. 4 weeks before my wedding they called and let me know they had made a mistake on the quote and required me to pay an extra $500. All brides know that 4 weeks before a wedding money is tight, we tried to come to a compromise on how this could be sorted for both myself and the florist, however when this was suggest I received the worst and rudest treatment ever. I was accused of knowing that I was ripping them off, and that they were worried I was never going to pay. Along with these accusations they said that it wasn’t their fault and they did not have $500 to lose so either I pay or they will cancel my order. I let them know that I had paid a deposit and was given a quote for that price and it is the law to honour that. Especially considering it was over 4 months ago this order was placed. After all of the back and forth they said that they knew I was always going to be difficult and that i was giving them anxiety calling and talking to them about it (always very polite as I still needed flowers) Never ever have I received such appalling customer service. I would be ashamed to be the owner of this business.

My husband lovingly bought me 12 long stem red roses as a surprise which sadly only lasted 1.5 days. I could see when he brought them home that they were older, but I didn’t say anything because I assumed he got them at a discounted rate. I know how to cut and maintain my flowers, but regardless of care, 1.5 days later they are lifeless, sad and dark. He told me he paid $150!!! When he told me this I felt outraged that someone could take advantage of an unknowing man. We do not recommend this florist at all. $150 is in the bin. Literally.Edit: *added photo of roses 2 days later* I didn't email or call because I don't want a replacement or credit - I don't trust the quality and skills of your store. I'm giving honest and live feedback which is the point of google reviews. This should never have happened in the first place, and clearly there is a theme in all of your reviews. Payment and store pick up was made on Friday the 20.1.23, and payment was in cash. Flowers of this quality shouldn't be sold as fresh" or "high quality "."

EDIT: Don't use this florist, take a read of all of the responses to other negative reviews. I ordered a bunch of flowers for my niece's 12th birthday and it was the first time she had ever received a delivery of flowers. My mum and I spent hours looking for the perfect arrangement and settled on Emily as it was a beautiful selection of roses, lillies and gerberas etc. We also wanted to send her a birthday balloon, so I selected for the balloon to match the bouquet. What was delivered was not even remotely close to the website picture and instead of being given the option to change the order or substitute different colours, Petals went ahead and used a mismatch of colours and not a single rose! Where there is a flower shortage, customers should be given the choice to change their selection or subsitute for different colours. Roses being a family favourite, to not even receive one feels incredibly short changed. The balloon I added was $20 and whilst the picture illustrates three balloons, the $20 actually only pays for one. Again, really shoddy looking. And then, as I am checking out, they hit me again with a $25 delivery charge! So in total, I spent $135 on flowers (and one balloon and delivery) we werent happy with and Petals basically told me to get lost, rather than work to remedy the situation. Definitely won't be using these people again.EDIT: If we are going to split hairs here, my mother is an avid gardener and can attest to the fact that the arrangement was composed of cheap rubbish and not the more valuable items like the roses. Website disclaimer aside, you could have contacted me to ask what I wanted to do if you had so many issues pulling it together. Just a week later, my mother used another florist to send flowers to my grandmother who was in hospital and not only did they send out what was expected, they exceeded expectations. Take the time to read these reviews before you order with them, there's a reason why they have a pretty low rating as dealing with this florist isn't fun or rewarding.

I ordered the Cleo as a surprise for my friend and they were beautiful! She loved them! Couldn’t recommend more

I was overwhelmed when we received the bouquet of flowers. It was beautifully wrap and fresh. My niece who celebrate her birthday yesterday was so happy to see how beautiful the flowers. I order the Robbie which is the medium but it was loaded of beautiful flowers compared to what is in the photos that you seen in website and it was delivered on time. Thank you for making her birthday extraordinary. Your not just delivered flowers but happiness.

I ordered wedding flowers for my daughters wedding. The girls were so lovely and helpful and checked with me every time if we were happy with what they were doing. The flowers were stunning and everyone commented on how beautiful they were. A week after the wedding and they are still beautiful. Highly recommend these talented and lovely ladies.
