Castle Hill Lookout
Great for exercise/fitness or driving up. Awesome views. Preferably still have your sneakers with you to do the number of small walks if driving up the top.

What a great view all the way around the hill. There's a walking path 250m long with some stairs but not a strenuous walk which gives you a birds eye view in every direction of Townsville. Not wheel chair/ Walker friendly. It's free so make the most of a free attraction

Beautiful walk with the road for less mobile walkers. A few different routes up and down. I had a great time doing the walk for sunset and than walking down in twilight.

Such an amazing place and little else like it in Far North Queensland that's accessible to everyone. Drive it or walk it. Toilets at the top with a beautiful viewing area before you get to the top. I could see myself going here at all different times of the day/night to truly appreciate the experiences of the views

It's a great hike to Castle Hill lookout, worth the hike as the views are breathtaking regardless of the time of the day! from the lookout point. Pack your picnic bag and watch the sunset or sunrise, you will not regret this.

Great views and photo opportunities at this lookout. Sunset is spectacular. The drive up is a little rough at times and there are many bikes and walkers to navigate around.

A must visit in Townsville whether you drive or hike up to the top!Looking towards the Strand from the platform, you get a lovely view of the ocean. Opposite to that you can view South Townsville and see Ross Creek snaking through the land.There are about a dozen parking spots at the top, but please be careful driving up as it's narrow and windy and people walk on the road.

Quite a climb in the heat but worth it once you get to the top. Amazing views across Townsville . Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen as there isn't much shade on the way up.

Great place to walk. I would recommend walking up the staircase and going down the roadside. There is limited parking so head there early in the morning. Beautiful view once your at the top, there are toilets at the top with a water fountain and tracks that lead to other view points.

Great view, a good place to train stamina and ends up with a refreshing air and great view of the whole of Townsville
