Organic Bread Bar

Sadly this place is not what it used to be. When we moved into the neighbourhood in 2016 it was a great little spot and a weekend regular. Over the years the quality of the bread seemed to degrade, very flat, overcooked almost burnt exterior, or big bubbles of emptiness inside. Stale food in the cabinet. With Bread & Butter Project freshly baked at Woolworths on Bourke we'll happily walk the extra blocks. Still occasionally visit if I'm in a rush or it's raining and don't want to walk far, but this was the breakfast sandwich this morning! One slice of avocado, sad egg and basically raw bacon...for $12! Appreciate prices have risen, but the quality has fallen so low in return. Sad that this little shop has become such a disappointment for locals.

My new go-to bakery. There are a lot of bakeries around here but I know I can just pull up and get some great quality baked goods any time.

The quality of the baked good is unmatched! Andreas, the owner is lovely and his staff are excellent. Pretzels are a must try!

The cold brew is nice and usually comes in a big clear plastic cup. Recently though, the lady insisted it doesn’t come in a large cup, and gave it to me in the small paper cup. That wouldn’t be a big deal, but she had the rudest attitude when I asked her for the big cup - and at $6 a pop, plus all the ice in the cup, you get about one sip of coffee -it’s not a great deal.

This place has been a favourite for years.The most delicious bread, cakes and sandwiches.Top picks are their Spelt Loaf and the Fruit Loaf, your initial thoughts may be that the Fruit Loaf is expensive, then you cut it and see what’s inside, then you taste it and realise that it is an absolute bargain, you know straight away that you’ll be back for more and more, it’s only available at the weekend so order in advance, I do.

Very small shop - it appears much bigger on google, and I was very disappointed, from the bottom of my tiny, broken heart. I was in the tough, strenuous long search for my organic bread loaf, however despite the multiple of reviews and pictures I saw from friends and family, this was exactly what was lacking. Instead of seeing delicious loafs of warm steaming breads, I was greeted by the depressing, gut-wrenching site of day-old, stinking bread which looked like it had been dropped in a coal mine. Not only that, the pastries and foods were unlavishly expensive - almost $8 for a measly bite of chocolate cake. Additionally, there was an ugly hand sanitiser dispenser placed inconveniently in the middle of the store - almost tripping my poor bottom over. The staff were also extremely unfriendly and seemed very bored to be there - absolutely no customer service and they had no idea about any details of the breads. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the bread was not organic, and the physical appearance of the store was a completely devastating let-down. The paint is chipping off and the blue looks more like the polluted Great Barrier Reef. Very dissapointed and my heart hurts from this painful experience. Will not be coming back.

One of my favorite cafes with delicious pastry and coffee. It contains European vision food. The desserts are of high quality that you can’t choose the wrong. The price is reasonable as well. A place that I have been to many times.

Best croissants, best bread and best coffee!! I’m so glad this is my local bakery and coffee because it’s so good! Everything is fresh and tasty. Nothing is disappointing. And the staff are friendly
