Chapel 1885 is an absolutely stunning venue that we had the pleasure of hiring for our wedding. From the moment we first saw the chapel, we knew that it was the perfect place for us to exchange our vows and celebrate with our friends and family. We were so impressed with the level of care and attention to detail that the team at Chapel 1885 put into making our day so special.First and foremost, the venue itself is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet corner of town, the chapel is a beautifully restored historic building that is full of character and charm. The architecture is simply breathtaking, and the interior is warm and inviting, with beautiful stained-glass windows and original woodwork that create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.The team at Chapel 1885 was also fantastic to work with. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, and they went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect on our special day. They took care of all the details, from the setup of the chairs and decorations to the coordination of the music and catering.We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Chapel 1885, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful venue for their wedding or special event. Chapel1885 is a spectacular and perfect venue for intimate weddings!My partner and I fell in love with this place at first sight and we immediately decided to have our small wedding at Chapel 1885! Felicity and Siew were so helpful and accommodating! We've got so many compliments from our guests and they absolutely amazed by the beautiful venue! We highly recommend this place!

I’m a marriage Celebrant and conducted a wedding here today. What a gorgeous venue. The light coming through the glorious main window was gorgeous. Such a special place. Staff (jasmine) was amazing too.

A special venue which makes for an even more magical day! Chapel1885 is an amazing place with a certain character that you just need to visit and feel to appreciate. Our hosts for our wedding, Felicity and Siew, went above and beyond to make our day smooth and customised to our many requests. They are both super friendly and helpful and we would recommend their venue for anyone wanting to do an intimate function that can be tailored to your needs. We had an incredible wedding experience and from ceremony to reception. Thanks again! : )

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the 1885 Chapel in May 2021. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with the two feature windows at either side, which both make beautiful backdrops for a wedding ceremony. It is also very well set up for a reception with an area for a bar, speeches, grand piano and dance floor. We couldn’t have imagined a better venue to host our intimate wedding and so many of our family and friends commented on how perfect and unique this venue was.Felicity and Siew went above and beyond to make our wedding a success. In the year between when we first visited the venue and the big day they were in continuous contact with us to provide us with guidance and suggestions for the wedding. They were very generous with their time to ensure everything was organised and ran smoothly on the day.The 1885 Chapel is a magical venue and the owners made sure our wedding day was the best day of our lives.

A big shout out to Kim for her amazing energy and customer service! Ultimately we decided not go forward with booking Chapel 1885 (not due to any fault of Kim or the venue - the venue is truly breathtaking, but just due to our numbers and style of wedding we are after) but I know if we had, we would have been in very safe hands. Kim took so much care and attention to help us map out possibilities for our big day - and the whole experience of chatting and imagining was really special.Thanks again Kim for all of your time :-)

Chapel 1885 is an amazing venue well worth your consideration if your after an intimate style wedding. We were attracted to the venue for it's 19th century London look, and being so close to the city it catered to our needs. The staff there were also amazing to deal with.

Fabulous venue! We had our wedding here recently and it was perfect! The staff organised everything and made it so easy. It was a beautiful day and it all runs smoothly and we had some amazing photos. Highly recommend.

What can we say, ever heard of the phrase above and beyond, well Felicity and her team at Chapel1885 far exeeded that phrase. If you are looking for for something intimate and beautifully serene, this is your place. Every wall and every corner shows off an eclectict style that gives Chapel1885 an individual character. We had no real idea of what we wanted our wedding to be, and with Felicity's help, she guided us in having our dream wedding.

Our function was at Chapel 1885, we had a great night thanks to our friends and family and those who helped with decorations and organising the event to make it what the couple wanted.Nudo, in particular Katie, played no part in making this event a success, in fact she was very rigid and did not listen to what the couple wanted. Furthermore, before signing, they were promised several things which after a month Katie said was not possible.On the night, the catering staff were lovely, however they forgot one of the canapés which meant they had no more food to serve so stood around watching us having a fun night and the bar started to pack down early which intimidated our guests into thinking drink service was over.When we contacted Nudo, we were told they chose not to serve the last canapé claiming clauses in the contract that did not exist and some rubbish about not wasting food (food that was pre prepared, so wasted anyway) and when we asked for a refund they tried to bully us into signing a deed of release to not post or speak of what happened and told us that was them compromising. We told them we had already verbally discussed the matter with others and would happily sign not to post a review or on social media, but clearly they wanted to silence the matter completely, makes me wonder how many people they have done that to, clearly their rating is not a true reflection of their service if they are silencing all the bad publicity by making people sign legal documents when a refund is a consumer right that does not require any signing of a deed.As a result the matter has now been referred to VCAT to be properly sorted according to consumer law and hopefully Nudo will actually learn about how to treat customers with respect and improve their terrible customer service.
